Dr Orphanos is wonderful. Took time at every appointment and even surgery day to talk with us and answer any questions. Great personality and very skilled physician. 10 out of 10 highly recommend!!!

5 stars!! Amazing surgeon!! Came in to do my back surgery on his first day off, then came back to check on me on his other day off as well. Another doctor sent me home from the hospital with no pain medication at all, but once I let Dr. Orphanos know what had happened, he immediately took care of that situation as well. All the other hospital workers said my back was like a war zone, and that Dr. Orphanos had done nothing short of a miracle on my back. The incision itself has very little pain, but I have an entrapped sciatica that he is going to help me get under control. Thank you Doc!! You're in great hands here!!

Dr Orphanos is an excellent Dr. As is his assistant Amanda. His a surgery scheduling person whose name is Patty is very unprofessional and inconsiderate of suffering patients. I was spoken to in a more than rude manner. Two days away from my unscheduled labs I still did not have a confirmation. She yelled and screamed as me like I was a child because I was calling to try to find out. I have not received an order for my lab work and it is supposedly two days away. Also I am to stop blood thinner medication one week prior and wasn’t able to confirm a date with the hospital because she had not spoken with the hospital yet. She was beyond rude and would not let me explain my urgency as I live two hours away and had to make arrangements to be off work on the necessary days. She spoke over top of me and when she was finished what she had to say she hung up..

Wonderful Dr he did one surgery on me and several on husband and one on other family member. Highly recommend

Showed up for first visit with MRIs in hand. Saw assistant instead of the doctor and assistant was clueless. I had already been to 2 pain management doctors trying to avoid surgery and both told me that surgery was the only answer. The assistant asked why I thought I needed surgery. I asked him if he looked at the MRIs. He said he had and I told him it should be self explanatory then. The staff is rude as hell. I decided this was not the olace for me and quickly found a new doctor.

I was taken to CAMC General ER. I was basically paralyzed from the waist down. An MRI found a large mass located in my spinal cord canal. I was literally in surgery within the hour. Dr. John Orphanos and his team are professional, empathetic and explained exactly what they were doing and the risks. I was very comfortable and felt a sense of ease with the Doctor from the outset. My wife was just blown away how his team called her several times during the nearly 6 hour surgery, culminating with a call from Dr. Orphanos himself. The mass was benign and now I’m back on the road to recovery and moving my legs and feet again. With rehab, I’m very hopeful for a positive recovery. I believe the Doctor and his staff gave me this chance. I’m so grateful. I’m telling you, if you need a skilled, professional, neurosurgeon, who’s team is top notch, Dr. Orphanos is the one. Thank you, Dr. Orphanos!

This man can work medical miracles. You will be in good hands if he is your surgeon.
