Can't say enough positive things about Dr. Hughart and her professionalism. Above all expectations and one of the best doctors I've had the pleasure of working with. From our first interaction to the day of surgery, you couldn't wish for a better experience.
I have thought sometime before giving this review, of Greenbrier Valley Urology My doctor at this office had requested several test be performed after I had a urinary tract infection at the first of the year one of the requested procedures was a cystoscopy, which I was extremely nervous about having. On the day of the procedure I showed up at the office and told the staff that I was terrified beyond all logical reason. My pleas were ignored. I was instructed to go into the bathroom and give a urine sample. Then go to a room and undress from waist down. When doctor and attending nurse arrived I told the doctor I was scared, and their reply was "Well it is a scary procedure". And then performed the procedure. I think what happened next was I had a severe anxiety attack which mimicked going into shock. This all happened about the time the procedure was done. I think I told the doctor to leave me alone, at which point the doctor and nurse left the room. I got dressed when the Doctor came back I had a flight response and backed away from them and requested to leave, but my way out was blocked. After being told my response was not normal I was allowed to leave. I have had numerous medical procedure done over the years and this is by far the worst experience in my entire life. Months later I am still struggling with the trauma. I doubt this review will make any difference but I do not want some else to endure what I have had to endure.
Not at all satisfied with this practice. Went for pre op (drove 1hour / gas $4.50 gallon) was called on my way home to come back the next day because they forgot to take blood for Labs. Surgery went well. Hospital stay did not. Went to scheduled Post op 2 weeks later. Signed in and presented My card which was scanned. Arrived 15 minutes early and sat in the main waiting room for 1 hour and 20 minutes. Called everyone but me. So I left. Very unprofessional outfit.
Dr. K has been my urologist for many years. I was diagnosed with bladder cancer in my early 20s and had to have several operations. After that I had to have a lot of chemo treatments. Dr. K and his staff have always treated me with kindness and positivity. I would recommend them to anyone.
You may have noticed no stars, this is why. Forgive me for not providing exact years and medical records, but this experience has been going on for quite sometime. After my annual prostrate exam, my doctor, Kyle Fort, informed me that I had cancer. He then provided my options. A close friend is a radiologist-oncologist and he, of course, promoted radioactive seed implants as there is around a 95% success rate, so I asked Dr Fort to perform the procedure. Near the end of my recovery, however, I began experiencing pain, feeling of need to urinate constantly and often unable to do so, blood in urine, etc. As a result he performed a TURP/transuretheral resection of the prostrate/, but within several months the symptoms returned and they were worse. He then performed a second, but again the problems returned. Finally, after the insistence of a dear friend, I traveled to The Cleveland Clinic and saw Dr Kenneth Angermeier the director of urinary reconstructive surgery. He sadly informed my wife and I that due to the scarring from the 3 procedures I would be wearing a catheter for the rest of my life! That was about 3 years ago now. Today I have a suprapubic catheter, wear a leg bag, and sleep with a bedside bag. I have had nearly a dozen visits to emergency rooms in Lewisburg, Charlottesville, and Richmond. The catheter must be changed monthly with a $45 copay. So between that, emergency room visits and a constant purchase of equipment, Dr Fort has made my retirement not only painful, but expensive!!! He is a fine person, a nice man, but, not a doctor I would send anyone too.
Well after the 2 OB/GYN screw up on my wife. They call this rude self centered Dr. Forte in to fix their screw up on her bladder.Yes I was mad and tried to apologize when Dr. Forte saids I don't come in this early and yes I replied didn't call u buddy. Wife didn't want to see him ever again. So took her and had her checked by another.Even had Dr. Flowers attempt to shame my wife to see him.
I don't know where the office staff of this venue learned their mode of interacting with prospective patients, but I tell you these people are just about the most arrogant I have encountered in the medical profession. There is no Please, Thank You, May I Have Your....Please...We Need That Because..... It's All demands, must haves, that's how we do it....we don't care about your name...you are just a date of birth here...we want your credit card upfront...we charge you if you cancel your appointment...we do whatever we want and will damage your credit if you don't comply with our demands....well the last two are based on the tone of a conversation over the phone with one of these animals. Mind you this was a first time appointment my general practice doctor arranged with these animals, I had not signed anything with them and had no intention because I didn't agree to their terms. Somehow some of these specialist clinics are getting to behave not like health service providers, but as harassers and bullies, who feel they are above their patients in a paternalistic manner. Absolutely would never set foot in a place like that, just think about it, if that's how the workers act, who trained these animals? An office manager with some ethics courses under his/her belt?...unlikely. Your Docs might be competent, who knows...but your office staff is the face of your business and it's an ugly face.
Honestly I can not say enough about Greenbrier valley urology. Dr. Moshey is wonderful and Has helped me and my son both. It's so nice to go to a doctor and they know exactly what's going on and what to do about it. I recommend him to anyone and everyone.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
