Sara Hartsaw's Online Review Report Card

I had to have a port installed to begin my chemo and radiation treatments that were scheduled to begin 7/24/23. Dr Hartsaw was going on vacation on 7/21/23 but put her vacation on hold to install my port to start treatments. I love her dearly thank you so much for being my surgeon I wouldn't want to be in any other surgeon's hands but hers. It's a really wonderful feeling knowing when you are under anesthesia that a Dr as wonderful as Dr Hartsaw is taking care of you. I don't worry about any surgery I have to have as long as Dr Hartsaw's hands are taking care of me. God bless you always Dr Hartsaw thank you so much for always being there for me and helping me to get my life back when you make me healthy again. Thank you for your continued service and my freedom. If I could I would give this incompetent doctor a negative stars. She made a horrible decision in regards to my wife's appendix bursting to leave the infection ball in and not remove any of the rupture. My wife has been infected numerous times since. After talking to other doctors out of our area. They all cannot understand why Sara didn't do surgery to remove infection.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. Spent literally two minutes in her office discussing my health concerns, she was quick to schedule me for a procedure… the procedure was done and she failed to tell my husband and I that she took tissue for a biopsy. She told my husband (while I was still under anesthesia) that I had some inflammation and that she would call in a prescription for me. The prescription was never called into my pharmacy.. I called and left a message at their office to see what was going on, I never received a call back. Called back again 3 days later, only to be told that my biopsy came back and she changed her mind about the prescription. Instead of calling me to let me know of the findings, Dr. Hartsaw left me in the dark to wonder what was going on with me. She then told me I needed to see my primary care doctor to go over my biopsy results. Furthermore, this woman has the worst bedside manners I have ever experienced in my life, I feel for the nurses who have to work with her. She is rude, incompetent, and does not care about her patients. Please, don’t waste your time with her, I sure wish I would have done my research prior to scheduling an appointment, it’s no wonder she was able to get me in the next day. A 2.6 star rating is generous given my experience. ????????????

Dr Hartsaw is a skilled surgeon if you expect the best medical care in Gillette Wyoming I highly recommend contacting her office.

Had an appointment that I had to leave early from, Dr. Hartsaw's entire staff weren't taking any precautionary measures towards COVID-19, they weren't wearing masks or taking temperature checks or even asking the basic questions that medical office's are supposed to be asking. My husband is already vulnerable towards covid due to his asthma, and in my potential state I could be as well and it just made me feel extremely uncomfortable, and it's in all honesty disrespectful towards the people who have had covid as well as the people who have died from it. And, i just found this one a little bit odd, when the nurse asked us where we had moved to wyoming from, she called us weird when I told her we were from California. Will be in touch with the health department about the covid measures.

If I could give her a half a star I would she has passion to be a dr which is questionable but none towards her patients I will never go back to her or her office again!!!!

RUDE, UNPLEASANT, DISRESPECTFUL, and COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL!! I was quoted a price for surgery, (after being seen by Dr Hartsaw) and told that price over the course of four separate conversations. Price was then increased by 500% after surgery was scheduled. When I asked for an explanation as to why this occurred, I was called names, refused service and told to find another surgeon. Beyond HORRIBLE!!!! In my opinion, Dr Hartsaw has no business practicing medicine. I called the Wyoming Board Of Medicine and filed a formal complaint. I strongly encourage you to look elsewhere for a surgeon. I understand there aren’t a lot of choices here in Gillette, but that doesn’t give Dr Hartsaw or her office staff the right to treat ANYONE poorly!!
