I am not sure why but I made appointment with this so called doc who I know reputation cause have dealt with him in past but when I call back to double check information on appointment I was told he is not going to except my referral no reason just that must be one heck of doctor to do that to patients. Granited I had to cancel before an what not but had good reason also I was trying to explain the situation to they lady on phone but we both wanted to talk at same time an what not so I ask her if I could finish before she started talking again so anyways but like a few ppl told me probably for the best all around as his reputation is not all that great so you would think he would not be refusing ppl like that an what not but I guess when u have been around as long as he has maybe feels he has right to treat ppl that way an not but I have know him for years an what ppl have said about him but I felt at ease being my doc in the past knew he could be @#$@ but was willing to put up with cause he knew me an I knew him so.. but whatever again as I told the lady on phone thanks for nothing an be you should think about returning if going to treat ppl/patient s that way but whatever

Dr. Iliya is a very smart man. He is Board Certified general surgeons. There is a lot to say when he is 2nd highest number in his certification. Also not owned by the hospital.

Dr. Iliya was very professional, willing to take as much time as needed to answer all of my questions, and there were many. My surgery was an emergency surgery and Dr. Iliya was called out in the wee hours of the morning. He explained everything that was going on and worked with the hospital staff to see that I was prepared for the surgery. After surgery I found his office to be very clean and comforting. His staff was very friendly and helpful.

Life is as series of challenges. The career of "surgeon" is a very stressful one. Dr. Iliya has stayed the course and met all the challenges on a day to day basis to support his family and community. Truely a courageous man. The community of Rock Springs has been fortunate in having this honorable man in service. Thank you for everything back and forward. A life well lived.
