Lance Wright's Online Review Report Card

He doesn’t deserve a star but you have to have at least one star. He’s a bully and arrogant . He doesn’t listen, he talks down to you and makes you feel like an idiot, he’s already made up his mind what your symptoms are and aren’t and argues with you if you say otherwise. He even wrote on his report to my primary totally opposite of what I told him, but what in his mind he thought my symptoms were. He’s such a jerk and after reading all of these reviews it appears I’m not an isolated case. SemmesMurphy should think twice about aligning with him because they are hurting their reputation. PLEASE do not waste your time or money with this quack.

I was referred to Dr Wright by my primary physician after a mri showed some issues following difficulties from Covid, which included constant headaches, speech issues and memory loss. My first visit with him, he did not run any further tests and diagnosed me with a mild brain trauma injury and medicated me for migraines, even though I told him my headaches were not migraine level. He would not listen to me and when I had difficulty answering his questions, he got very visibly frustrated with me. We chalked it up to him perhaps having a bad day. After 2 months of being on the medicine he prescribed for “my migraines”, I returned for a follow up visit. This visit was worse than the first visit. When he would ask me questions about how the medicine was working or how my headaches were, if my answers weren’t what he wanted them to be, he became very condescending and frustrated with me, and told me I wasn’t answering his questions. He made me feel like an idiot and like I don’t know how I actually feel. The last straw for me was when during this visit, he advised that he was going to try a different headache medicine. I asked him what he was thinking about, ( due to my primary has already prescribed a couple of things that have not worked) and very coy, Wright looked at me and said, “I’m not being smart but what difference is it what medicine I’m going to give you.” At this point, I shut down and realized that for $180 a visit, I don’t need to be bullied by someone who is suppose to be helping me get better. He’s rude, arrogant, acts like a child when he doesn’t hear what he wants to hear, and honestly treats patients like they are the problem instead of truly caring about their pain. I was glad to read all these negative reviews about him; not because I want negative things said about him but because I realized that I’m not alone and this is simply his bedside manner. But that’s not good enough for me, there are too many other good doctors out there for me to waste another minute or another penny with this guy. SemmesMurphy is a good clinic, his nurse is really nice but don’t waste your time with this guy, he’s awful. Don’t just take my word, read all of the reviews and see if you don’t see a common pattern.

I would leave a zero star rating if it would allow. I have been suffering from anxiety for 2 years. After 1.5 years I went to my doctor because I couldnt handle it anymore. She referred me to Dr. Wright, thinking I may be having seizures. When I began to explain the first incident (2 years ago) he cut me off and said if its not relevant to now, lets talk about whats going on now.. It is relevant.. but I followed his lead. When I proceeded with my symptoms he cut me off again telling me that the symptoms I was describing was NOT the symptoms I am having?? How does this make any sense? At this point, I was very overwhelmed by the way he was degrading me and I shut down.. I began to cry and told him that I just wanted all of this to go away.. He then diagnoses me with MIGRAINE AURA... If you dont know what the symptoms are: it is a migraine where you see auras.. I dont get migraines nor see auras. If he wouldve listened to MY SYMPTOMS, he would know this.. DO NOT SEE DR. WRIGHT!!!

After reading this doctors reviews I feel better about my visit with him. He came in very later (long wait in office). He came in looking at his watch I heard his nurse tell him his wife was waiting to look at houses. Basically told me nothing except I could adjust my meds as I needed. I wanted info from him which I didn’t receive. His nurse practitioner is very nice and much more helpful.

Dr Wright would not listen to me as a patient he couldn’t diagnose my condition. He never referred me to anyone that could. My condition worsen to the point I was hospitalized for 10 days and I still have not fully recovered. My visits with him were useless and I discontinued using him. I wouldn’t recommend him to anyone

Gave this md 3 tries. First 2 times after discussing my problems he didn’t do anything for me. Gave me rx for muscle relaxer. Told me on both occasions “I don’t need to see you anymore. Thought I’d give him one more try. BIG MISTAKE!! Wouldn’t hardly let me discuss my problems. He is going to do one test but the paperwork I took to the checkout desk said “No Followup”! I will never set foot in this man’s office again.

He is rude, rolls his eyes at any opinion (Mayo or other Dr.) other than what he had already made before he starts to talk. He is arrogant, talks over you until you stop talking, etc.. He is the reverse of a compassionate caregiver and should read his oath. Seriously, he needs help. I think there is a reason he is the last picture on their site. He should drop off the list all together.
