This place is the absolute worst. If you have breast cancer, and need reconstructive surgery, please keep looking! #Botched
Wonderful caring staff. Very helpful and supportive. Parking difficult. Take a sweater its cold in there
I took a family member in for speech therapy at Banner. I was told we would be billed $125 per visit, which is our specialist co-pay. We attended two appointments. When the bill arrived, it was for $948.78 and we were told they were out of network. They had our insurance information for weeks before the appointment and told us the cost would be $125 per visit. This is the second time we've been given one cost and then billed for a MUCH higher cost by Banner. We'll be going out of country for medical treatment from now on, unfortunately.
They use the Banner MD Anderson name but the care is not at the level nor is it as organized as the one in Houston, Texas My wife's doctor never wore a mask and they ignored her rising tumor markers. Now my kids and I have to watch her on hospice care waiting to die. This institution can't even function as a community hospital let alone a world class cancer center. Save yourself and your loved ones by seeking out care from the real MD Anderson in Houston or choose a different institution such as Virginia Piper Cancer Center.
The best facility around. Saw my Dr on time and he was very helpful. Explained my entire procedure where I could understand. Thank you.
Please note this is a Banner operation and does not represent the excellent care and expertise of MD Anderson. Should you seek medical care here? I think you could find better.
The doctors have been good and knowledgeable in the case we have, which is why we decided to continue care here and our specialists in NYC researched and felt the team had enough knowledge. The surgeon has done more of these surgeries then most ever see, but the hospitals LACK of care and concern for support family is unbelievable. Our Dr and his staff in NY were floored when I called them today about having to drop my husband off next week, they NEVER allow a patient to be alone during such a stressful time. .FYI CTCA here in AZ will ALWAYS allow a support person (even during the pandemic). In the last 4 months, we had to follow up 2x to get the first appointment. Then follow up to get the FU appointment for scans, bloodwork and such. Then the lab cancelled a blood draw order and we ONLY got it figured out because I asked about it for over a week, so we redid it. 2x this happened. Oh and the lab didnt correctly draw and handle a tube of blood, had to be drawn in a chilled tube and shipped on ice, they didnt do that even when we asked them about it. 3 weeks ago we were to do a Gallium 68 pet scan, opps they did the wrong scan, so we did it again. Now fast forward to today, we are finally scheduled for surgery, and now they decided to not allow support person with a patient. So I can drop my husband off for a RARE surgery and hope for the best. so disappointing in Banner.
These people were not able to handle my case so they labeled me as a problem patient and refused to treat me, leaving me very sick. Im glad Im getting better treatment at Mayo Clinic now. This place makes me feel so angry!
It’s taken a long time to write this because I wanted to be fair, especially with COVID. I have to come to the cancer center every month for port flushes and every 3 months for scans. I don’t think there has been one appointment where they have been on time, or even close to on time!! I look around and people are nervous for the reason they are their in the first place and we’re all just waiting! I try to schedule early morning appointments and they are still running an hour to 2 hours late. I just don’t understand how this is always an issue!
Cancer treatment is never easy, and causes stress to both patients and family. While I believe MD Anderson is ‘the best’, it has been ! If this is the first a[ointment of your day, it sets a domino effect for the rest of the day. Seems this problem should have been resolved a loonngg time ago. There is no way to contact administration there to ask when issues such as this are being addressed

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
