Dr. Zakko is excellent. He is a very straight- forward, no nonsense physician. I'am confident he is why I am still alive. His plan of treatment related to my condition has been a life changer. If I could pass on any advice to others, it would be stick to the plan of treatment he prescribes without deviation. If he recommends a procedure, follow through. Don't fall into the category of being an internet physician. Trust me Dr. Zakko knows best.

I had appointment for 6,22,2021.i had waited for 3 months then I never received any response I called 6,21,2021 they said 🙃 my appointment is canceled,for Gastroenterology very disappointing unprofessional he is not good Dr I never 😔 ever back 😢 😔 😞 😪

Hello, my name is Maud Allen. Dr. Zakko‘s is amazing! Wonderful bedside manner very caring and polite. Wonderful staff front desk people and back office people are wonderful! Dr. Zakkos recommended a probiotic for my gastritis and it’s only been a few days but it’s helped so much.

I have had many coloscopies every 2 years with Dr. Zako and he is excellent.

Garbage. Pure garbage. Their voice mail clearly states 24 hour call back; forget about it. They don't care. I called and left a thorough message with name, number and birthdate, repeated the info and no return call. Called their answering service and left another thorough message and was told I should follow up my message with a phone call the following day. Why in the world should I follow up with a call when I'm leaving another message? I was reassured they would call me the next day. Nope. Nada. They close on Fridays at 2pm and I remembered how I never heard from them at 230pm. These clowns are a joke. If they don't care about their customer service In making appiontments, then they don't care about their procedures, their work or anything. UPDATE YOUR VOICE MAIL TO SAY WE WILL NEVER CALL YOU BACK AND TO GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

Excellent! I have Crohn’s for years and have seen lots of specialist for this disease. In one visit Dr. Zakko has helped me tremendously. His office staff is very compassionate and helpful, very patient. I have never taken the time to give reviews until this one, - the very best care and help deserves a rating. A+ Dr. Zakko, asks the right questions and takes the time to listen, along with his vast knowledge and experience, which is ever so apparent. Gratefully, Jon H.

Dr. Zakko is a gentle, attentive and an overall wonderful human being.

Was referred to Dr.Zakko by my primary care physician. I was very disappointed with the way I was treated by this physician. First of all, how does a physician dictate a "History and Physical" on someone they have never even met? Very poor way to practice medicine in my opinion. Then as I was being wheeled into the procedure room for an UGI Endoscopy this physician would not even take a minute to listen to my concerns. He totally blew me off. After the procedure was over, while I was still very sedated he stopped by and the only thing I remember him saying was "biopsy". He never bothered to contact me later in the day or any time after the procedure when I was recovered from the sedation, and could have understood what he was saying. Very disappointed with this physician and I will not be following up with him.

Great doctor. Great center. A really good place to have a colonoscopy. Both my wife and I have had ones there. The doctor is very professional and very nice. His explanations are thorough and helpful. However, the person answering his phone at the Escondido office is not the most helpful or empathetic person you will ever talk to. Nevertheless, I will be using Dr. Zakko services in the future.
