Refused to help me
Amazing people who actually care! I was extremely nervous at first, but everyone from day one has made the experience a lot less stressful. I feel like I'm getting the help I need and I appreciate it so much. Thank you
Aegis is the reason I have six years sober, I learned so much there and they helped me through some of the most difficult periods of my life. This is where you go if you take your treatment seriously. They are strict about state/federal rules, and yes, they make you go to group and no, you can't manipulate them to get your way, but if you work hard and put the effort in it will pay off. I've moved away and to a new clinic but I miss the staff at Aegis, the vast majority of them are kind, empathetic, and very supportive. If there's one thing I disliked about Aegis Marysville it was that some of the patients created tons of drama, it was worse than high school. I enjoyed having the supportive camaraderie of my fellow addicts but I learned to be very selective in who I interacted with because rumors, infighting, and drama were pervasive. The staff does their best to keep hold the patients to higher standard of behavior but there's only so much they can do. I'll always be grateful to Aegis for helping me become the person I am now, when I came to them I had no hope for the future, now I'm tapering and soon I'll be done with medication assisted treatment completely. I truly believe that without Aegis I'd be homeless or dead.
This place really helped me get my life back on track. The counselor that I had at the end was much better than the one I had to begin with. The only problem with this program is how long they allow you to stay on it. Come to find out methadone is much harder to get if of then heroine. Plus the amount of time it take to get off the methadone to recover from using methadone is about 3 months. It can help you keep your children and get your life back on track if you use it the right way So until there is a better solution then it is a good chance of recovering from drug addiction.
Favouritism happens a lot here. A while ago I called to ask if it was okay if I was 2 minutes late. I was told by the nurse (Delnita) "Sorry we're strict about people being late so no". Literally the next day I'm standing there while they prepare my dose and someone calls and the same nurse says "Okay but just hurry." Obviously someone called about being late. I'm quiet and a non confrontational person so I didn't say anything, but that's BS. That's conpletely fine if people are turned away for being late but if you're going to say no to one person and yes to the other, that is not okay. I see it happen ALL the time, too. She's also just rude and like fake-nice. I've heard her whisper about another patient while I'm standing there. I'm considering switching to another clinic just because I hate interacting with her. I look forward to the days that Dana is there. She is awesome.
This place does have some nice folks there but just a few. I've been there 3 yrs, and I'm basically realising that this place don't really have time too or just don't care about us patiences. Too me they treat us just as another number or file, alot of my counselor phone interviews don't help me at all and don't make a mistake and accidentally do something they counselors don't like and you will be treated like a lil child and talked too that way and get your take homes tooken away. Go here at your own caution. A few nice folks may not be enough to put up with alot of fake caring.
Don’t do it! Go seek Jesus- He’s the only One who can truly set you free!
Only go here if you like zero flexibility and zero compassion, understanding and hope. Feels like you are a number and a paycheck from the government with the facade of treatment.
The staff here is absolutely amazing!! They will go way beyond their expectations to help you succeed or get the help you need. I give my awe to the director and her work. She is awesome! My heart goes out to you and all of the wonderful people that work there to help better peoples lives. I love you all for this!!
Greatest place to go if you ever need it. All the staff care about you they teach you what you need to know and they are always there for you for anything you might need even if you just need to talk privately..
There used to be so many negative reviews of this place. Weird that they've disappeared.. 🤔 I am giving one star because the women up front except for maybe one are rude and unprofessional. They never greet anybody or even acknowledge you when you walk in. You're just standing there awkwardly till they decide to check you in when they feel like it I guess. Sucks because everyone else is pretty great.
The staff is very friendly they make you feel really comfortable always there to help it's always clean 😊👍👍
Surpasses expectations. I highly recommend!
Many methadone clinics deserve 0 stars. Too rate this at an average or above average rating would be to set the bar low for any healthcare service. The service is absolutely appreciated but the fact that they exist is not something to consider when rating the program. Legislation allows them to exist, it is not out of the kindness of their hearts. I acknowledge that nothing is ever perfect, and that responsibility for ones well being ultimately falls on the individual. Having said that I can say without a doubt that complacency is this clinics biggest downfall. They treat the atmosphere like it is a Footlocker and absolutely provide a level of care only seen in the treatment of addicts .They make no efforts to implement new strategies for better service that can be seen from where I stand. An example is the dosing speed. I previously was at the Roseville Clinic which has a higher volume of patients and their system of dosing is exponentially faster. The system at Marysville seems to favor the welfare and social security recipients more than it does the 1 out of 10 who will go back and contribute to society. If you read this and you work there.. look in the mirror in the morning and try harder. I will be out within a couple weeks of this post and everyday I wake up knowing I could do better than I did the day before. A devil may care attitude has no place in health care. Either understand your paycheck and livelihood comes from addiction and act accordingly.. or don't. Not everyone is meant to be a police officer.. you must rise to a higher level than an average human being or you are not cut out for the job. If you do not have compassion, empathy, or the ability to adjust to the needs of every patient than you should probably get another job in an industry that doesn't involve the literal life and death of those you are working for. I am a weak man.. who expects more of himself. You can either be like me... And keep doing what you are doing... Or you can be the change. Best of luck.
When I first started coming here they threw me in here and I felt very overwhelmed and the staff are all stuck up treated me differently maybe because I’m not social with everyone or light hearted I still expect to be treated like a human although they definitely treat me like a addictehos in thier way they are short with me and they are nice to all the methadone patients
Updated Review: Marysville facility has undergone significant improvements. ***** 5 STARS *****
My name is Crystal Dawn Clark, my husband and I decided together to try our hardest to get clean up and succeed in this program. Him and I started this treatment on April 6th 2015.We both excelled greatly everyday, we have completed every single individual counseling appointment and we attend our group therapy every Thursday at 8 am. This place was god given to us. We have been here now for 1 year and 56 days. I just want to give my thanks to Cheri G who is a very good counselor, that helped my husband and I since the first day we got here so a thank you to you. I would also like to thank my husbands counselor Erika for breaking through to help him. I would like to also thank our dosing woman Dana for being so cool and understanding.my hubby and I would like to say a few other thank you's to Racheal, Emily, Taylor (who is no longer with us its sucks she was a great receptionist) and our favorite group counselor Tina and anyone at Aegis Clinic Thank You ALL FOR SAVING OUR LIFE WITHOUT THIS CLINIC AND ITS STAFF WE WOULD MOST DEFINETLY BE DEAD BY NOW. I would recommend this place to anyone that wants to save there own lives.Crystal Clark
AEGIS Treatment Center in Marysville is an amazing clinic. I have been on methadone for a little over 3 years and I'm a firm believer in this program. I transferred from a clinic in Sac, which I loved, to here and I'm very happy with the outcome. Everyone is super sweet and they help you with anything they possibly can. The ppl on here giving bad reviews are only doing so because they aren't doing what they are supposed to so they aren't getting what they want. You don't reward bad behavior!! This is what addicts need...to be held accountable for their responsibilities. I have all my take homes and have been clean since I started 3 years ago. My counselor is Tina and I love her!!! At 1st I was hesitant because she's close to my age but it ended up being a perfect match. If you or anyone you know needs help with an opiate addiction, AEGIS is an amazing place to get the help you need!!!
Aegis was an amazing experience.. I have been blessed & lucky to have had their help. I have successfully completed the program, thanks to them..👍🏽 ⬆️ (Rachael - Dana).
If you are looking for help with your addiction then you are looking at an amazing place.let me tell you the success rate is 92 percent which is astounding. Basic 30 day rehab success rate is 3 percent. This place will help you get back on your feet, help you become who you use to be, help you learn to get back to the regular world and save your life. The staff are absolutely wonderful. This is a government funded program that is why you will read on here about the "high turn over" what it is, is that they give people out of college (or people that need more experience) the hours they need to complete state requirements. Each and everyone goes through a very intense training to make sure they meet the standards and needs of the patients and laws. once the counselor reaches their hours they will move onto something like mental health in yuba city to get a variety of experiences under their belt. We have counselors that have been there for over 10 years so they do have counselors that stay.it is a government run program so they can accept the most common insurance which is medical (and others) and cash paying patients (at an affordable cost. If this were a private practice 90% of people would not afford this treatment )There are rules at this clinic of course like the review you see on here, you have to do a required random urine test once a month or more if they feel like it is needed(depending on your treatment plan you might have to do s random breath test for alcohol once a month or whenever they feel like needed) if you are paying with insurance (like medical) you have counseling once a week for an hour and 1 class a week which is an hour (they provide the classes with different counselors, different subjects, different styles and lots of different hours to meet your needs). The counseling is great because they 1. See through your bull crap that all of us addicts will try on them in our early recovery. 2. Will give you every resource you need if it is something they can't help you with. 3. Will give you their all. The classes are great also, it is nice to be with other people going through the same thing as you and can learn from all the different experiences. Depending on your treatment plan (you have to remember everybody is different and will progress differently) but the basic rule of thumb is after you give 3 months of clean urine test you can start to receive a take home (meaning you will have the medication to take home with you to take the following morning and do not have to show up at the clinic that morning) . the building is a little out of date but 1. Like I said this is a goverment funded program so they don't have all the money in the world to spend on fancy offices. 2. The building will be moving to a much more up to date office in probably December which will be much larger, nicer and more able to have more patients. You will hear people complain like any place. The most common complaints will be that sometimes you will have a little bit of a wait in the lobby (which I have to say everyday I am in and out within 10 min. ) you just have to make sure if you have work or Dr. App or something to get there plenty of time just like any appointment. You might hear people complain about strict rules. The reality is the rules aren't strict. If you do your basic things (show up to counseling which the counselor will work with you to meet your schedule and classes, and pass your urine test) then you won't have any issues. Some people tend to forget what it is like to function in a normal world were have rules to protect ourselves and others. You might hear some people say something like " they won't give you your medication until after your counseling on the days you actually have counseling" that will only happen if you do not show up several times with no phone explaining why. I learned that if there are complaints they are complaints from mainly people who are not obeying the basic rules. This place will save your life. You just have to show up and try it. I beg you to try it. Save your life.
