Aegis is the reason I have six years sober, I learned so much there and they helped me through some of the most difficult periods of my life. This is where you go if you take your treatment seriously. They are strict about state/federal rules, and yes, they make you go to group and no, you can't manipulate them to get your way, but if you work hard and put the effort in it will pay off. I've moved away and to a new clinic but I miss the staff at Aegis, the vast majority of them are kind, empathetic, and very supportive. If there's one thing I disliked about Aegis Marysville it was that some of the patients created tons of drama, it was worse than high school. I enjoyed having the supportive camaraderie of my fellow addicts but I learned to be very selective in who I interacted with because rumors, infighting, and drama were pervasive. The staff does their best to keep hold the patients to higher standard of behavior but there's only so much they can do. I'll always be grateful to Aegis for helping me become the person I am now, when I came to them I had no hope for the future, now I'm tapering and soon I'll be done with medication assisted treatment completely. I truly believe that without Aegis I'd be homeless or dead.
