unorganized NOT PROFESSIONAL
If you think this is a Chinese restaurant or public gas station bathroom you are wrong. This is a doctor office in the USA right here in the Bay Area. Very disorganized, unfriendly, Extremely filthy and gross I could not believe in my own eyes that there is such a place so call doctor office right here in the Bay Area. This doctor office has no nurse and an older woman with fancy dress took me to patient waiting room (very dirty) and performed a blood pressure check appear to be his wife or relative. Patient draft sheet looks like was not discard and reused (very visible)...Receptionist is another younger woman walked in patient waiting room (while I was waiting)with a cooking pot on her hand to get water on the sink probably for her lunch instant noodle cooking And finally Doctor is an old, unhealthy looking man asked me no related questions about my visit without looking or checking at allI hope this doctor office will be investigated and shut down before someone may get sick or disease might be spreading from here
It is unreal how horrible this practice is. Im a social worker and brought my client here. Long story short, the doctor refused to administer a TB test to my client who has special needs. He said that he had a bad attitude and that we should try the clinic they have more patience there. I offered to speak with my client, and got him to agree to answer the doctors questions politely. The doctor had already made up his mind. He assumed I would be filing a complaint with Alameda Alliance (obviously he has a lot of experience in this area) and told me that he would tell them that my client refused to answer any questions. It would have been enough that the woman at the front desk was insanely rude, but I think their obvious disregard for my client, and unwillingness to accommodate his special needs really put it over the edge. To sum it up: I would rather sit in the waiting room of a clinic for 16 hours, on a pile of glass shards, than get with 50 yards of this practice. Good luck to this guy, as I cant imagine he will have his medical license for much longer.
Is there any way to give negative stars??? If you are considering Dr. Vu, I strongly urge you to reconsider. reconsider. What were the issues? Please take a look at the list below:1. I was able to look up the office on Google and it shows the building that the office is located in, but doesnt show you how to enter the building. I walked around it like 45 times. I walked into what looked like the entrance and it was actually apartments. I walked around the building again and called the lady at the front desk and was toldbits easy to find and she HUNG UP. I called backhand was finally told that it was in a driveway. I found the driveway but there was no sign(in English) There may have been a plastic banner outside in a different language but Im not sure.2. The office entrance had a mini swarm of knats or fruit flies which is disgusting considering that there were multiple medical offices there. Super unhygenic if you ask me.3. When I finally got into the office, it was completely empty which was really odd. I filled out the normal paper work. I was complaining of chest pain and needed to see the doctor asap. The lady at the desk said I need to pay the co pay first(everywhere I have ever been takes it as you are leaving) I have her my debit card and was told they only take cash! Really?!?! In a doctors office in 2016?? They sent me out to get the cash before the doctor would see me.4. I sat in the waiting room(i dont know why I was waiting, there were literally no other patients) while he was just sitting at the counter. I finally got in the actual room and he took out the stethoscope to listen to my heart. All he did is tap me with it how could he have heard anything??? He then proceeded to check my ears with the scope thing, but he didnt even put the plastic slip over it!!! Super disgusting! 5. I told him that I was in the emergency room the day before and was told by the ER doctor to see my primary doc and get a referral to a cardiologist. He refused and sent me back to the ER! Another 3 hours and $500 later. I was fine and this ER doc told me to do the same thing.6. I called Dr. Vu(didnt want to go back to that disgusting office) and got the receptionist. I told her that I was there the other day and I need a referral to the cardiologist. She said that I have to come in. I asked to speak with the doc and she refused. she was just hunting for a co pay! I was just trying to get the referral so i dont waste any time and see the doctor that could actually help.Needless to say I will never go here and recommend that no one ever go here. Now I have to waste more time, find a new doc, get a new appointment and then get a referral. Thanks doc. Real professional.
Very rude and unprofessional lady on the phone. I called to request a copy of my mom blood test result since she has some health issues and was called in to see dr as soon as possible. She said I had to come to his office and hung up on me as if Im a selling rep. My mom should have received a copy by mail or email, do not have to ask or beg for it.
Wow. Just wow. The doctor himself is a great doctor but the front desk lady with the weird 80s theme make up is a horrid woman. She must be going through menopause or something because all I asked her to do was sign a paper for my medical issues and she flat out said no and dont ask me any stupid questions. Anyways it was my second time and it usually takes 3045mins to get help at the front desk and will not be coming back. I think they should hire a better front desk woman. I mean the older woman is nice and she gets stuff done. Unlike the ugly hag
HE IS NOT QUALIFIED TO BE A PHYSICIAN. HE SHOULD NOT HAVE RECEIVED HIS MEDICAL LICENSE. IF YOU WANT A REAL DOCTOR, GO SOME WHERE ELSE!When I entered the office the lady at the desk looked at me rudely. She said you havent been here in a while. You should see the doctor more often. She said this in a rude tone. And then, she asks about my co pay so I paid cash and then she put me in an office and asked me what was going on and they were just rude. When the doctor came in, he asked a few questions, told me to do lab work and why I was here. Duh, I am here because I am in pain. He told me to do lab work and I asked for the pain medication and he said I couldnt get it until the lab work was completed. The doctor was very rude, very unprofessional, there was definitely no customer service and it seems as if he just wanted the money and he didnt care about me (patient) at all!I would not recommend this doctor to anyone. Find another doctor that can treat you as a person and not as another transaction.
Pretty much the worst medical experience Ive ever had.I enter the office and check in at the desk, giving the lady my insurance card as she asks for it. She stares at it confusedly for a few minutes, and then asks me what my copay is. I say nothing, because I dont have any copay (I have a strange HSA plan). She doesnt believe me.She asks me to use the office telephone to get a rep from Cigna on the line in order to explain to them how my insurance works, since my explanation wasnt good enough. Let me repeat that *I* was told to call my insurance company, and get a rep on the line.I do so, anyways, providing all the information the rep needs to open my account (social, birthday, address, etc.) I hand the phone to the lady at the desk and sit down again. The rep starts reconfirming all the information from the offices lady, probably because thats standard practice (since a new person is on the phone). The lady asks me for my birthday and social, and the doctor, who is sitting there, starts yelling at me that I should have already provided all this information (which I did, and he heard me doing) and that I should have stayed on the line with them while they were talking (seriously?).Anyways, that happens, and finally they figure out how much my visit is going to cost. I pull out my HSA debit card and they tell me sorry, we dont take credit. No problem, this is a debit card. We dont take those either, check or cash only. The doctor yelling at me was the last straw, and not taking my card just gave me a quick exit from this horrendous practice. Stay away.Given that this is Chinatown, perhaps Chinese patients probably will have a more reasonable experience. :/
