Yardy Tse's Online Review Report Card

I went to Yardy for several cancerous surgeries. She is a very good surgeon but her team treated me horribly, I believe they thought I was lesbian because I told Yardy that she was beautiful. This completely effected my quality of care. The last surgery was the worst and they didn't fully numb me so I felt part of the incision, it was awful. Then one assistant let out a Yelp and accused me of touching her during the procedure but I had both my hands under my legs so that was impossible, which another assistant pointed out, luckily. As if having cancer and surgery wasn't enough tragedy, and all because these stuck up women mislabeled my sexual orientation. No great surgeon is worth that kind of extra trauma. I say FO RGET that.

My family has been going to Dr. Tse for almost ten years. She treated my children's acne when they were teenagers with amazing results and developed into great skin as now adults. She performed a Moh's procedure on my face and left minimal to no scarring. Dr. Tse takes an interest in you personally and your family's well being. It's pleasant having a doctor not rush you through an appointment and she always takes the time to listen to your concerns.

I have been going to Dr. Tse for the last 3 years and have the utmost confidence in her abilities. I have always been impressed by her professionalism and have always been treated with courtesy and respect by Dr. Tse and all the office staff. Dr. Tse has performed two MOHS surgeries along with several Basel cell procedures for me. I would not hesitate to recommend her'

I've been a patient of Dr. Tse's for over 20 years. Early on she found a melanoma which I would have never spotted. Surgery the next day and zero issues. I have had numerous Mohs surgeries primarily due to the fact that playing golf for almost 50 years with a visor was stupid!Dr. Tse is absolutely no nonsense when she has a scalpel in her hand and I wouldn't want it any other way. Before and after procedures she is most outgoing and friendly. As a "Senior citizen" I have lots of doctors and Dr. Tse is absolutely among the outstanding. I highly recommend her to anyone needing dermatology services.P.S. The front office has never been anything but great :)Bob V.

Wow! What a string of reviews! I read them all (twice)(this makes three) and found them fascinating; so may different opinions! I first met Dr. Yardy Tse for a Moh's surgery on the center of my forehead. I had first visited another dermatologist in La Jolla for a spot on my forehead and it was determined that it needed to be treated with Moh's surgery. Dr. Tse was up in a facility in Encinitas but the distance was of no concern to me as I was assured Dr. Tse was the best for Moh's (at the time). I didn't have any problems with either the staff or assistants and the surgery seemed to work just fine.Perhaps it was because I was one of few patients who recognized Yardy's name was derived from the famous soap - Yardley - and a mistake in paperwork occurred where it got shortened to 'Yardy', but we seemed to hit if off OK and have enjoyed a comfortable relationship ever since (many years). Because of my childhood years in Tucson (where we ran around without T-shirts or any thoughts of skin protection at all) I was pre-disposed to skin problems in my later years, especially on my face, particularly my forehead.As to the reviews: Well, I'm astounded, to be frank. I have never had any problems with either the staff or Dr. Tse. As one reviewer commented; I don't need a lot of hand holding when I am there. I appreciate her professionalism and skill. I have never had her perform a biopsy without the preliminary 'numbing' of the area. I don't disagree with anything any one has written; they are entitled to their opinions and sharing of their experiences. Yardy and I do discuss any of the skin spots/problems she encounters and biopsies are taken and I get the results a few days later. Schedules are set up and I go in either for a 'Freeze' or 'Excision' or 'Moh's'. I have had only one 'Melanoma' surgery (it was a long one - 7") but it went just fine.The 'subsurface' stitches USUALLY come out relatively 'low' pain (in many instances, they're removed before I know it!) but, occasionally, they don't and it does hurt when they resist removal. It varies and depends on how tightly the skin grabs the stitches. The more the assistant 'massages' (rub HARD) the stitches as they are pulled on, the better it goes. Overall, it's not too bad but the good news is that there is practically NO scar after a short recovery period (I have several that have all but totally disappeared).Yeah, Yardy comes in and gets right down to business; does her thing and then we chat a little as she does the paperwork. We have occasionally discussed things not relevant to 'medicine' as we have a very long history. She recently discussed a new procedure she thought I would benefit from having. She answered all my questions about it and even elaborated at length at my next visit (timing, traffic, weather [hot] and precautions). I don't have any problem, at all, with her moving on to the next patient after we're done - after all, I could be the next patient waiting - and I shouldn't be holding her up with idle chit-chat (but she stays if I do). I've never had an excessively long 'wait' time but the couple of times it happened, I was told what was up. But I DO agree that if something has happened to delay seeing a patient, they should be informed as to what is delaying their treatment. I spent many years in high-level customer support and one of the major key elements to customer/patient satisfaction was honest and total communication.One reviewer stated that Yardy doesn't use 'freezing' - I totally disagree; I've been frozen so many times I sometimes feel like an ice cube when I leave. And, as for the comment as to 'going for the money', I also disagree; if Yardy was going for the money, she'd go for the high-end 'excisions' instead of the quicker (and cheaper) freezing. I have always felt she did what was appropriate to the diagnosis; and I never questioned the diagnosis.Since I'm totally covered by my insurance, I have had no problems with billing so cannot comment on those type of problems. But I do think that since she joined the CSI corporation, she may have been bound by some of their rules and structures. Not that I'm trying to excuse any areas where she may have had autonomy and there were problems, only that I have not had any issues.Having perused the reviews extensively, I noted that one reviewer (Mama P.) originally posted her negative review in 2012 and said "I will be shopping for another dermatologist in the future." And yet I noticed she 'voted' on at least two reviews all the way up to 2018, which says to me she is either still a patient of Dr. Tse's or she is obsessed with following the doctors reviews and joins in on the negatives wherever she can. Kind of strange.But I do have one strong 'gripe' - I HATE that headrest on the operating table. If I could, I'd give that darn thing alone -5 stars. Well, that's all of my harangue. I would strongly recommend Dr. Yardy Tse for her expertise and skill without any reservations at all.

I have been a patient of Dr. Tse for over 15 years now. As a young woman Dr. Tse helped me with skin health and educated me about tanning, being someone who's skin got dark easily in the sun I wasn't seeing how my skin was being damaged. She was able to catch a possible risk early on so I didn't have to suffer, or have any additional treatments. After deciding I wanted to remove a tattoo, she was able to achieve complete removal after only two treatments, her knowledge of all the difference lasers is extensive. When I decide I wanted to try Botox and was unsure her knowledge and years of experience helped me understand how safe the treatments had been proven to be. She was able to explain it all in terms I could understand and her keen eye put it to work in all the right places. She then helped me decide on further cosmetic treatments that turned out beautifully and have looked great for years to come. I'm so grateful for her guidance all these years. Now she sees the whole family. My daughter had a freckle on her head, right on the part line. Dr. Tse was confident it wasn't anything to worry about but took the steps to make sure. She painlessly and swiftly took it off, and had the tests run. All was well as she predicted. There is no scar or loss of hair. Again, I'm so grateful for her knowledge and her capacity to approach her communication with directness and clarity. Thank you!

I had a biopsy performed by Dr. Win which resulted inan appointment with Dr. Yardy Tse. Ir required Mohs surgerywhich is no easy surgery. The surgery was on my bottom lip,Which is a precarious location to say the least? I had never been her patient before. She immediately put my mind at ease so a relaxed as any good patient should do. She had a crew of competent nurses that were right there at her beck and call. Since it was on my upper lip I was naturally tense as to the outcome.I followed her written instruction on care of the wound until the stitches could be removed. I was amazed at the professional procedure on my lip.If you are looking to find an excellent Mohs surgeon you would be well pleased as to the results you will receive It was obvious this wasn't her first rodeo. I have had multiple pre-cancerous and mohs procedures during the past couple of years with Dr. Tse. Her work has been excellent. I've been healing quicker with no side effects. She has always answered my questions and displays genuine concern for my well-being. The nurses have been skillful and knowledgeable. The receptionist has always been polite and caring.
