Dr. Kornguth is personable, well educated, with a stellar office staff that takes care of everything in the background so you don't have to worry about it. At our initial appointment Dr. Kornguth provided a comprehensive and research-backed view of my husband's condition, testing steps, treatment options and potential outcomes. Best of all, he took time to listen - not just at the first appointment, but at all the follow up appointments as well. Valet parking was a big help during the radiation treatment process. Treatment was relatively painless & so far the results are good. Thanks Dr. K & team!
Professional and caring, considering the patients in the main, have cancer.
I recently completed, at Golden Gate Cancer Center, radiation treatment for prostate cancer. The professionalism and the patient care I received was nothing short of excellent. Dr. Kornguth and his staff were the best and I know the results achieved will be a product of all that I've stated above.
Really good doctor. Very trustworthy and competent.
Double booked, which may not have mattered but in the two hours I was there, he failed to show.Consultation room I was 'stored' in was an utter disgrace to hygiene.
Dr Sharlip is the head of male reproductive urology at UCSF and we felt that we must be in the right place. The office staff trys to be nice, but there there is so much bureaucracy that it is next to impossible to deal with them. We were mis-billed after every appointment. Dr. Sharlip is nice, but a little old school in his approach. We didn't feel like he really was invested in our situation or achieving the best outcome and also wasn't very good at explaining our options for treatment. I do have to give him credit for calling to check on us while he was on vacation, but it was almost more stressful having to wait for his call and hoping that we didn't miss it. We couldn't get ahold of him directly and his nurse who returned calls was actually mean and rude to us when we had questions about pain management after a procedure. I'm sure that he is a great doctor, but I wouldn't recommend Dr. Sharlip to my friends

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
