List of Lifestance Therapists & Psychiatrists San Francisco's Reviews
They canceled on me twice! Not sure how this is good for mental health. Now I need to start searching again
DO NOT GO TO CAROLINE CRETTI. The first appointment I scheduled I had to do between 9-5 due to the therapist's time constraints. I take off work for this appointment, and come to find out that Caroline Cretti canceled our scheduled appointment and did not notify me. I had NO idea the appointment was cancelled. I got rescheduled to a new therapist 3 weeks later and received a call today that they are cancelling on me AGAIN. It has now been a month and a half with no care what so ever, only cancelled appointments. Ridiculous.
Completely disorganized. I gave my insurance information on the first call. Then I realized they assigned someone out of network after my insurance declined payment. Of course then they screwed up my billings and I had to call and write several times to explain. After two months, the problem only got fixed partially. I spent 3 times of my time fixing billings than the actual appointments. I wish I had checked other reviews before I used this service. Worst customer service I have ever experienced.
My provider no showed twice, once during our very first appointment and then our third with no explanation. She then rescheduled twice without actually showing up on the rescheduled dates. When I tried to cancel an appointment they told me I would be charged, but there was no reprimand for my provider. Absolutely cuckoo company I’m going to file a better business bureau report because it doesn’t make any sense the lack of professionalism.
I usually don't leave reviews, but I am so disappointed with the service I received--or there lack of. I waited 4 months for my psychiatrist because she was "out on leave" and I didn't want to have to explain everything to someone new. However, when the appointment came, she cancelled four days prior making me schedule with someone new. I grudgingly accepted an appointment the same week, only to get a voicemail the day before my second appointment that that had been canceled too! I've given this company THREE chances, and they messed it up big time!
I'm so glad I found this office. Finding in-network mental health resources with my insurance is really, really hard. Juliano has been a godsend to finally fixing my mental health disorder(s). He also brings a sweet cute dog to work which just makes my heart melt and calm nerves. My life before and after has quite a stark difference and I'm making a dent in life milestones I've procrastinated for years.
Dealing with Lifestance will make you wish you were waiting in line at the CA DMV. They have an "Advanced MD" portal that appears to offer none of the functionality you need, like scheduling or rescheduling. They have a front desk apparently, but last 3 times I called I was on hold 30+ minutes before I had to go back to work.
I am writing to express my profound disappointment with the unprofessional and unreliable conduct of Lisa Padilla at LifeStance Health during my one month of working with her. From the outset, Lisa assured me that she would support my mental health disability claim. She informed me that she had mailed the necessary paperwork on June 4th, 2024. However, she failed to provide a tracking number despite my explicit request. When I followed up with the Employment Development Department (EDD), they confirmed they had not received the paperwork. I reached out to Lisa multiple times, both offering my help and seeking updates. On June 20th, she promised to block off time to submit the paperwork online due to the approaching deadlines. Yet, she provided no proof of mailing the documents and ignored my offers to assist her with the electronic submission, citing her technical challenges. Her failure to respond to my emails only exacerbated my anxiety and frustration. Moreover, Lisa canceled our appointment just five minutes before it was scheduled to begin. This last-minute cancellation, combined with her unfulfilled commitments, demonstrated a shocking lack of empathy and care. It is abhorrent that someone in her position can exhibit such disregard for a patient's well-being. I am genuinely shocked at the type of individuals LifeStance Health allows into the role of a therapist. Lisa's conduct has been detrimental to my mental health and has severely impacted my trust in the support system that is supposed to be there for individuals in need. I urge anyone seeking reliable and empathetic mental health support to reconsider their choice and look elsewhere.
I’ve had a fantastic experience with Dr. Sivia for many years, and I’d gladly recommend LifeStance to my friends, colleagues, and family members.
i’ve been with life stance for the last three years and three different states. i’ve always received great care and compassion.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
