Great service, short wait times!

I have always gotten good care here. Service is fast, reliable, kind and helpful. Action Care Hamilton Av is a great Urgent Care facility.

The front desk staff at this location is incredibly unprofessional and lacks basic knowledge about medical billing. The female staff sitting on the right side of the desk was extremely rude. When I checked in, I explained that I had already met my Out-of-Pocket Maximum for the year and didn't owe a copay. She condescendingly sneered and cut me off, arrogantly asserting that I was confusing it with a deductible and that copays are always mandatory. She completely dismissed me and forced me to pay upfront. Her dismissive and mocking demeanor felt distinctly discriminatory, as if she was intentionally trying to belittle me. What's worse, another employee came out from the back and quietly corrected her, telling her that I was actually right. Instead of apologizing and fixing her mistake, she lazily told the person assisting me, "Just bill it," simply because she didn't want to bother reversing the charge. She is clueless about insurance policies, treats patients with a deeply uncomfortable, biased attitude, and is too lazy to correct her own financial mistakes. Avoid this location.

Cat was the most helpful representative I've met at an urgent care. Was very direct and quick with problem solving when I had confusion over pharmacies and next steps. I had to go back in a handful of times to ask questions and normally I get really nervous after the stress of the day and on top of that having my body be in discomfort. Cat was so genuine and kind; it made me feel lighter and supported amidst the bodily pain I was experiencing. Even after interacting with her and Bella at the front desk, Bella was so engaging in conversation when taking vitals n such- made me feel so much more at ease. Thank you guys sososo much!!! Also biiiiig fan of the icarly lookin computers in there :)

Excellent medical providers

The medical assistant and the Dr I seen today were very nice . When in without appointment . And when treated right away .

Had a really good experience here the 1st time I visited. Very helpful staff and doctor. So I decided to drive here again from Redwood city for another visit. But the second time I visited (5/18), the male doctor I got was rude and sarcastic with poor bedside manner. He questioned why I was taking medication for my mental health and then blamed all my symptoms on it without exploring other explanations. Seems completely incompetent and a failure amongst an otherwise fantastic team. Too bad I don’t trust the care provided here anymore.
