I didn't receive care, but called to ask about insurance coverage and although she didn't accept Medicare, she gave me some great suggestions on options. Really above and beyond.
Dr. Aflakian is that rare combination, a superstar practitioner in a technical sense and the warm, caring, upbeat sort of personality you need when you are in pain. A friend recommended him highly, and I can see why. I'm paying out-of-network because my recovery is too important to trust a run-of-the-mill chiropractor, many of whom are unskilled if not risky. My mind is at ease.
Recently, I was involved in serious mountain bike accident that left me with 6 broken ribs and tons of shoulder pain. I must admit that my shoulder pain was worse than the broken ribs. I needed help and after doing an exhaustive search in the Internet, I choose Patricia Lambers of The San Jose Acupuncture Center. My 1.5 hour session was first fact gathering, deep message to the affected area, using a TENS unit on the affected area and then finally, Acupuncture. Since that one session, I've had not pain on and in my left shoulder. I highly recommend Patricia for your Acupuncture needs.
I was in major pain from a previous back surgery. Pain was so bad it hurt to walk! Went to 2 appointments with Patricia and I am able to walk with no issues. Very knowledgeable and very professional. Thank you
Real tangible relief after even one visit! I have been searching for relief from neck pain that also causes numbness in my arms. Doctors want to give me various drugs that effect inflammation and nerve sensitivity - but this only masks the symptoms and does nothing to improve my situation. I've even tried cortisone shots in my neck for short periods of relieve. I am so glad I found Patricia. She takes time to understand her clients ailments and has an elegant intuitiveness to her method. The massage and stretching techniques were new to me, and I had real results. The next day I woke feeling significantly better. Her confidence and and gentle caring approach have made me feel comfortable, safe and positive about the treatment and my health. The office location is nice, clean and convenient. Scheduling and Payment were simple and fair. I look forward to continuing treatment and developing healthy routines going forward.
Customer service: 5/5 Quality of care: 5/5 Location (safety, appropriate location for wellness, near stores, etc.): 4.9/5 Parking: 4.7/5 Price (fairness): 5/5 Knowledge and expertise: 5/5 Total: 4.93/5 or 5/5 TL;DR: I got treatment for emotional and physical pains. Headaches, migraines, anxiety, chronic back pain, etc. I no longer have pain and if I do it is significantly lower and manageable. The place is relaxing. Parking isn't too bad. Location is great. Patricia is personal, professional, friendly, humourous, considerate, and experienced. She has excellent customer care! My thoughts: Patricia is a holistic practitioner. I go to her for many things and in the beginning I was skeptical if I were to see results (since many do not believe in acupuncture and eastern medicine which is why I was skeptical at first). I experienced a life threatening accident a year ago which heightened my anxiety. I recovered from severe depression (before seeing her) and needed help to keep on a stable self care routine. I work with domestic violence which can be emotionally draining at times. I suffer from migraines, chronic back, shoulder, and neck pain, GERD, varicose veins, chronic stress, and acne. I've had most of these since I was 16. I was sensitive to pain. I went to Patricia in the hopes that I could relieve the tension in my body and the stress it holds. To help my body let go and also to be pain free. And like I said, I needed a self care routine that would benefit me holistically. Results: I started treatment with Patricia in October 2019 and have seen amazing results. I, of course, have my own self care routine that helps maintain these results but I truly believe acupuncture has changed my life! I barely have pain in my back anymore. My back pain is at a 1-2.5 compared to a 7.5-9 daily. My neck has no more pain. My shoulders, at times, would be so painful that I could not use a bag or backpack from the pain. The pain is now at a 2.5 - no pain at all daily. My acid is manageable and I believe it goes hand in hand with my diet and anxiety. But what is amazing is that I no longer anxious. Of course I can become anxious at times for understandable reasons but I used to have panic attacks and such. That is all gone now and if it ever comes up, is very very manageable. My depression is significantly at its lowest in 7 years. I can also manage pain and stress better. Patricia has helped me to achieve a healthier life in only a few months and I cannot wait for how it will help me in the long run. Customer care and what I like most: Patricia is personal. She cares about her patients and seeing her is always something I enjoy. Our small talk is interesting and engaging. It's honestly on a level where it isn't quite small talk anymore, more like friendly conversation. I don't feel like I'm a generic patient seeing a doctor and simply getting treatment. Patricia also always treats me with respect, kindness, humor, consideration, and politeness. My mood is uplifted when I see her. I'm comfortable and never feel uncomfortable or unwelcome. I feel valued and cared for. My questions are answered when I ask and she is very knowledgeable in her practice. She is also knowledgeable in different parts of wellness like diet and sports wellness. Her massages really help to relax my muscles and relieve tension. The acupuncture treatment has done me a great deal in becoming pain free. Patricia believes in prevention and I like this because I am able to be healthy and stay healthy. Patricia is an amazing practitioner! Very grateful to have her! Location: I like the location of the clinic because it is next to other wellness clinics. It's near stores and Target. I usually go to acupuncture and then go shopping for groceries after. It is in a very safe place. I don't ever have to worry that my car will be broken into or that my belongings will be stolen. In fact, my phone fell out of my car in the parking lot near the clinic and when I came back 30 mins - 1 hour later it was still there on the ground where my car was last parked. Reasons for -.4: I only took out .1 for location because google maps doesn't do a good job of finding it sometimes and the directory in the building is confusing but everything about it is awesome. What is .1 really? I believe google maps tells you it's on the left when it's on the right or it's this way when it isn't. But Patricia will help you find the place if you text or call. Don't be afraid to ask! And honestly it isn't hard to find. Google maps isn't of Patricia's control anyway. There is limited parking in the lot directly in front of the clinic but there is plenty in the back lot and street parking. I only minus .3 because there are rare occasional times where that little extra time would be needed to find parking. Honestly, it isn't much to fuss about and Patricia is very understanding if you're able to let her know ahead of time. Overall an easy 5/5!
Words can't express how much we love working with Patricia! I started going to a Patricia in August and after the first session felt relief with a couple problem areas. Throughout 7 months of medical appointments my appointments with Patricia have helped my health along with anxiety and exhaustion. I always leaving feeling better than when I came in and balanced. Patricia is a joy to work with and she provides my fiancé & I with amazing advice that we have incorporated with nutrition and lifestyle changes. Patricia genuinely cares for her patients & their family's well-being and helping in any way she can. She is super supportive & we enjoy going to the office to see her for help & advice. FIVE STARS! You couldn't pick anyone better!!
I've looked for many years to find someone as qualified as Patricia. She doesn't hold back & is extremely strong. She's helping me work through my nightly head aches. She has become part of my families healthy way of living.
Patricia Lambers is a very skilled acupuncturist and massage therapist. I first saw her in March 2018 when I was 9 months pregnant. She helped me to relax, ease muscle tension and back pain and I went into labor that very evening. I have seen her several more times for massage and acupuncture. She is an intuitive, warm person and I always feel well taken care of. I read a bad review down below and just want to say that until an individual provider has actually billed your insurance before and you are a new patient, it should not be unusual to pay upfront and then be reimbursed if your insurance covers it. Just because you know your insurance covers acupuncture, there are many stipulations in and out of network that can affect how much is covered. I find it sad that someone left a bad review without ever seeing Patricia first. I've never a met a more honest therapist and I look forward to my next appointment.
I highly recommend Patricia! I had frozen shoulder, I could not move my arm without excruciating pain. She used a combination of acupuncture, orthopedic massage, cupping and other methods to relieve the pain. After just two appointments I was almost pain free! I regained most of my mobility. I could not believe a condition I had such a long time can be healed so fast.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals.
