TL;DR: I got treatment for emotional and physical pains. Headaches, migraines, anxiety, chronic back pain, etc. I no longer have pain and if I do it is significantly lower and manageable. The place is relaxing. Parking isn't too bad. Location is great. Patricia is personal, professional, friendly, humourous, considerate, and experienced. She has excellent customer care!
My thoughts:
Patricia is a holistic practitioner. I go to her for many things and in the beginning I was skeptical if I were to see results (since many do not believe in acupuncture and eastern medicine which is why I was skeptical at first). I experienced a life threatening accident a year ago which heightened my anxiety. I recovered from severe depression (before seeing her) and needed help to keep on a stable self care routine. I work with domestic violence which can be emotionally draining at times. I suffer from migraines, chronic back, shoulder, and neck pain, GERD, varicose veins, chronic stress, and acne. I've had most of these since I was 16. I was sensitive to pain.
I went to Patricia in the hopes that I could relieve the tension in my body and the stress it holds. To help my body let go and also to be pain free. And like I said, I needed a self care routine that would benefit me holistically.
Results:
I started treatment with Patricia in October 2019 and have seen amazing results. I, of course, have my own self care routine that helps maintain these results but I truly believe acupuncture has changed my life! I barely have pain in my back anymore. My back pain is at a 1-2.5 compared to a 7.5-9 daily. My neck has no more pain. My shoulders, at times, would be so painful that I could not use a bag or backpack from the pain. The pain is now at a 2.5 - no pain at all daily. My acid is manageable and I believe it goes hand in hand with my diet and anxiety. But what is amazing is that I no longer anxious. Of course I can become anxious at times for understandable reasons but I used to have panic attacks and such. That is all gone now and if it ever comes up, is very very manageable. My depression is significantly at its lowest in 7 years. I can also manage pain and stress better. Patricia has helped me to achieve a healthier life in only a few months and I cannot wait for how it will help me in the long run.
Customer care and what I like most:
Patricia is personal. She cares about her patients and seeing her is always something I enjoy. Our small talk is interesting and engaging. It's honestly on a level where it isn't quite small talk anymore, more like friendly conversation. I don't feel like I'm a generic patient seeing a doctor and simply getting treatment. Patricia also always treats me with respect, kindness, humor, consideration, and politeness. My mood is uplifted when I see her. I'm comfortable and never feel uncomfortable or unwelcome. I feel valued and cared for. My questions are answered when I ask and she is very knowledgeable in her practice. She is also knowledgeable in different parts of wellness like diet and sports wellness. Her massages really help to relax my muscles and relieve tension. The acupuncture treatment has done me a great deal in becoming pain free. Patricia believes in prevention and I like this because I am able to be healthy and stay healthy. Patricia is an amazing practitioner! Very grateful to have her!
Location:
I like the location of the clinic because it is next to other wellness clinics. It's near stores and Target. I usually go to acupuncture and then go shopping for groceries after. It is in a very safe place. I don't ever have to worry that my car will be broken into or that my belongings will be stolen. In fact, my phone fell out of my car in the parking lot near the clinic and when I came back 30 mins - 1 hour later it was still there on the ground where my car was last parked.
Reasons for -.4:
I only took out .1 for location because google maps doesn't do a good job of finding it sometimes and the directory in the building is confusing but everything about it is awesome. What is .1 really? I believe google maps tells you it's on the left when it's on the right or it's this way when it isn't. But Patricia will help you find the place if you text or call. Don't be afraid to ask! And honestly it isn't hard to find. Google maps isn't of Patricia's control anyway.
There is limited parking in the lot directly in front of the clinic but there is plenty in the back lot and street parking. I only minus .3 because there are rare occasional times where that little extra time would be needed to find parking. Honestly, it isn't much to fuss about and Patricia is very understanding if you're able to let her know ahead of time.
Overall an easy 5/5!
