Person who called me asked me about my insurance info. Since she had not heard of it she stated her manager needed to agree to take it and if this happened she would call for benefits. If manager did not agree she would not.She seemed not interested having me do my PT there at all which is fine. I scheduled with another PT and they were happy to take my insurance, get benefits and cared about my PT visits and recovery.

Efficient open pt office
The therapists at Performance are amazing. I had meniscus surgery and they got me in good shape in just 4-5 weeks. My insurance changed and they required $150 for a re-evaluation fee, even though I was currently in PT. My out of pocket was already going to be $150/week to continue PT. I asked both locations to waive the $150/week and was denied. They claimed the insurance company require them to charge the fee. I did not want to pay the fee. So I stopped and regressed. Oh well. They did not get my extra $1000!It is like your automechanic charging $150 re-evaluation fee, because you are using a different checking account.I should have been a rich PT person!
Elite Performance & Rehab Center at the Goleta location deserves the highest rating of any other physical therapy and rehabilitation center in Santa Barbara and Goleta! My physical therapist, Zach Finer, helped me immensely with my rehabilitation from rotator cuff surgery. He is an excellent therapist; very professional, well-trained, and always took the time to answer all of my questions, as well as explaining in detail all of the rehab necessary and my home exercises. All of the assistants are friendly and very helpful as well. There is also a very positive atmosphere among all of the staff at Elite, which really makes a difference when you are in pain and need to complete your PT program. You look forward to your PT appointment at Elite Performance Center!
Thanks to the expertise and guidance of Zachary Wermers, I am pain free. He positively impacted my life both physically and mentally. I am forever grateful. The PT assistants are also AWESOME!! I will ALWAYS come back to Zach and Elite for any PT needs in the future.
I had total knee replacement last October and after my 2-weeks home therapy I started 8 weeks of PT at Elite. Fantastic care and hands-on treatment resulted in reducing effects of scar tissue, reducing swelling around the knee, massaging to get blood flowing into sore and tight muscles, and increased flexibility. Soon I was back climbing stairs, hiking, cycling 4 times a week, and horseback riding. Looking forward to snow skiing next winter. Thanks Ryan and the great staff at Elite.
The staff at Elite are absolutely wonderful to work with! I have attended for several months and look forward to my sessions. The positivity and affirmation of 100% healing along with firm yet gentle work by my therapist in learning to walk again has made, what I thought would be a grueling process, a great experience. I highly recommend Elite!
Tried to make an appointment on 12/30/19 morning at 9.35 am, but the person who answered the phone did not seem to care about getting a new client. Ignoring to answer my questions and was not pleasant at all.
The staff are super nice
I have been a client at Elite in Goleta, on and off for many years including during the recovery from a trimalleolar ankle break and later a severe tibial plateau fracture with ACL damage. Although I have a few small concerns, I am rating them a 5 because of, (1) the quality of their therapists and (2) the collegial, upbeat atmosphere and personal concerns the PTs take for their clients. Over my many visits there, I have seen 5 different therapists and they are all very different in their approaches. Some are more forceful and dig into stuck muscles or restrictive fascia with some gusto, while others have a much lighter touch. Yet they all are talented and have positive, encouraging attitudes and all of them have been helpful in my recoveries. While I am the sort of person who thinks deep work is what I need, when I have had the more gentle therapists, I have been amazed at how much they too have helped me. And if you communicate with the therapist he/she will go deeper or less deep, and provide you with explanations or address new concerns. Also a real plus is that all of the therapists have their eyes open at all time. After they work on you for the first 20-25 minutes of your visit, you are assigned an intern/student assistant whose job it is to guide you through the exercises that the therapist has decided would be right for you. These student assistants vary in quality and experience and this is the one place where Elite could do a little better in their training. There is some inconsistency among the intern assistants in attention to detail or in describing how to correctly or most effectively do the exercises. Overall though they are all upbeat, likeable college-age people and this part of your visit is usually fun. Luckily the PTs themselves are all watching while you are doing your exercises even if they are working on other clients. They are quick to pipe up and point out ways you could be doing the exercise more effectively. So being in a large shared room, as you are at their Goleta office, has the major advantage that if your intern assistant is unsure of the exercise, a nearby PT will speak up and say "move your feet up higher on the board" or "keep your knee tracking over your toes" or "hold the strap in the opposite hand". The PTs are very encouraging and even if you are not their specific client, they seem to keep track of where people are in their recoveries and to give you encouragement or ask you how you are doing. Just a heads up if you are new to or considering this place for the first time...they place old rock on most days (maybe Radio paradise?) so if you are expecting a quiet setting, this is generally not the case. Yet I find the bustle in the main room always cheerful and I consistently come out feeling like i have made progress and have had a good experience. If you want quiet and not very many people, book your appt near the end of the day
The greatest physical therapy clinic ever. I've been going in for both my shoulder and my ankle and have been taken care of by all the staff with great care. I've always been pushed to work hard and when needed to slow down with caution. Thankful for all they did to get me better and get me back into my football season!!!
I had both my knees replaced in late February 2018. Recovered very well and worked with a fabulous PT for a few months. I was considered a huge success as I was riding my bicycle on the road by 2 months. I recognized that I was not where I wanted to be, so I contacted my surgeon and requested another round of PT. So in May 2019 I began working with Zach Finer at Elite PT in Magnolia shopping center. He was able to evaluate my legs and discover what muscles needed to be strengthened. My goals are to be able to play Pickle Ball and to be able to run around with my grandsons playing chase and tag. I am really pleased with my progress and feel I will reach my goal in a few more months. Since my youngest grandson has just begun rolling over, I will be able to run around about the same time he is able. I am really pleased the Zach's work and highly recommend him and all the staff. They are wonderful.Julie Newendorp
Professional happy enlightened staff... makes all the difference!
I am very pleased with the physical treatment I received from Elite Performance. I have used their service several times and they have really helped my recoveries. I highly recommend this PT group.
I am so grateful for the physical trainers at Elite! I underwent ACL Reconstructive surgery and needed physical therapy in order to get back to playing competitive soccer. My physical trainer, Zachary Finer, was so helpful and caring as he worked with me to get back into shape. I definitely recommend Zach as someone you can trust to put in the effort to make sure you recover stronger than you were pre-injury. Although I was given tough exercises in order to build back the muscle I lost and prevent further injury to my knee, I always had a fun time at Elite. All of the trainers and aids were not only helpful and knowledgable, but they were supportive and fun to talk to. I am very thankful to have gone through such a hard recovery process at Elite because the staff helps you laugh along the way, making each step towards recovery an optimistic experience!
I am so grateful for the team at Elite performance and rehabilitation. The front desk staff is responsive and helpful, and even calling the day before appointments as a reminder. The DPTs are excellent. I witnessed them with patients of all ages and degrees of injury. They have a kind and reassuring manner, and the care they provided was effective. The entire clinic, both staff and patients, has a family like atmosphere. I suffered a leg injury, and my main provider, Zach, was great. He walked me through a full diagnostic and explained to me the recovery path, patiently providing as much detail as I asked for, and providing reassurance that he'd get me back to normal. The care provided was excellent, and over the course of 3 months I saw consistent progress and recovery. Once my leg was recovered, he was able to help me increase my sprinting performance, shifting the focus of the visits and the guidance he was providing. All of the aides I worked with were excellent - knowledgeable, friendly, and motivating - even willing to join in the workouts. I recommend Elite performance and rehabilitation without hesitation to athletes for both prehab and rehab.
I highly recommend Elite Performance & Rehabilitation Center. I have needed their services twice, once for a knee injury & recently for neck & shoulder pain. I found the receptionists helpful in setting up my schedule. The therapists were skilled, professional, & most importantly helped me to alleviate pain & obtain a good range of motion. Zac accomplished this in less than 6 weeks! I feel like my quality of life has increased substantially. I'm very pleased with my treatment.
I had a pinched nerve in my neck that caused a radiating pain to run down my right arm into my hand. My symptoms would increase when I worked on my computer to such a degree that it was interfering with my work.I was referred to Elite by Dr. Richard Kahmann, an orthopedic surgeon. I was skeptical to put it mildly. My skepticism was misplaced. I went to PT about 15 times from January to the end of February 2019. Zach Finer was was my main therapist. He interviewed me, found out what my symptoms were, and worked me through a number of stretches and strengthening exercises. Other staff members would work with me after each session with Zach. I was given printouts so I could do the stretching and strength exercises at home. This regimen worked extraordinarily well. By mid-March I was completely pain free and now (late April) the whole neck/arm thing I had is gone. I don't think about it any more.Elite is the real deal. I was treated very well there and got excellent and professional service.Scott Campbell
