I visited recently for an urgent skin condition and was pleasantly surprised at how quick and seamless my visit was. The site is ultra clean and covid compliant, staff are super friendly and professional. If your insurance allows you to use this facility, then I would; my highest recommendations!
I've been here on four occasions because it's close to my house and I can be seen quickly. The level of care is hit or miss. My last visit I was seen by a PA, Emily Liu and she was very thorough and caring. Figured out the right meds right away. The exam rooms and bathrooms always look and feel dirty to me. And the billing is a nightmare. Each time, their billing dept has submitted the claim under the incorrect tax ID. It takes several calls to both Mend and my insurance to get it straightened out. I called Mend billing a few minutes ago and the recording told me there were SEVENTY callers ahead off me. What the heck? They do have the option of leaving a call back number so we'll see how this goes. My advice is only go here if you have no other options and be prepared for billing problems.
Receptionist was kind of rude. Waiting room was empty when I first walked in. Waited an hour to be seen. Disappointing service. Was first asked about my symptoms. While I was explaining, was cut off and she then asked for my height and weight. After she administered the COVID19 nasal swab, she asked me if I had any questions for her. I asked her what I can do to help myself get well and prevent myself from getting worse. She then said, the doctor will go over that with you. Waited about 2 min. Doctor stood in the doorway and told me if I wanted my results, to email them. If they call me, Im positive, if they dont, Im most likely negative. Also said, other than that youre all good to go.... she didnt check my vitals, didnt ask me any questions. NOTHING. How do you call yourself a Doctor?? Like what?? Dissatisfied. Will not be coming back to this location.
Check in was the thing that took the most time because you have to do it yourself. It’s easy though. Reception was nice and it was a Clean place. Lilit was super nice, took my blood pressure and gave me an anti- itch shot. She also checked in on me 10 mins after for side effects. Made me feel safe. Then NP Abbie checked all my rashes and gave me intensive education on my diagnoses and also what I might have to do if it doesn’t get better, which I liked. And prescribed the anti itch shot. Juan was taking notes and he was very polite while I was being examined. He sent my prescription to the pharmacy very quickly. I was in and out within an hour. Came in at 11:00am, left for lunchtime at 12:00 before they closed at 12:30.Thank you so much essential workers for your service to me and the community.
The worst place, I was having fever for seven days, I gave test for covid-19 twice and they came negative, so I asked them to take an x- ray but they said no my lungs they are ok because doctor checked already, so we should give you injection true your blood, you might have blood infection, without taking blood test, i was disagree with them and left the place , next they i went to emergency they did X-ray and they told me that I have a Pneumonia, so yeah be well everyone.
Its crazy how one review someone stated they suspected a broken toe and got full treatment, but when I came in the doctor didnt wrap my toe or treat it whatsoever after a long wait in an empty facility. I keep an open mind but since they didnt take my insurance and told me to just take Advil, thats messed up. How can you treat another person with the same exact condition but when I come in you cant even help in the least bit. I have to come out of pocket just to be told take some Advil! I came in twice and never received anything but disappoint here. Look at the reviews and make your own judgement seems pretty biased. Other than that the facility has a comfortable waiting room, the doctors are not up to par.
After being told twice (30 minutes apart) that covid testing would start in about an hour, I finally got a more definite answer that said it would start around 2pm. Before driving over, I called ahead to make sure testing was happening, and to ask about the wait and if I would be able to get in. I was told that there were a couple of people waiting but I would be able to get in since they didnt close until 6pm. When I arrived 15 minutes later, I saw a mostly empty waiting room but was told by another worker that all the slots were full. I wish I had spoken to this gentleman the whole time as opposed to the obviously clueless female at the desk. It would have saved a lot of wasted time.
I will never come back here again. I came in for pain and swelling in my armpit and side ribs. My regular doc was booked til January bcuz of covid. The Mend doc couldnt figure out my issue. Instead I got EKG and chest Xray that seemed unnecessary. They kept me waiting extra long time just for results and explanation. And hardly nobody was at this location! Then I walked out and went home in pain! After thinking bout this experience, I felt that I was treated in a racist way like drug addict bcuz Im Black. All I need was care and to be taken seriously! After reading past reviews of this place I wished I stayed at home or went ER and risk getting covid. Why cant I get care???!!!! All of this is soooo fucking unfair!!!!
Went to the facility in Burbank. Staff and PA were professional and knowledgeable. This review is more about their Covid protocol. I did not appreciate all patients are seen in the same rooms, regardless of why they have come to urgent care (I could literally be in a room that a covid patient just left). Even though we are all required to wear mask, why take the risk? You have about 9 exam rooms, why are you only using half of those rooms? My advice would be to assign rooms to symptomatic vs asymptomatic covid suspect patients, and see patients that come in for noncovid related issues in the other rooms and note the rooms on their chart. Not only is that taking an extra safety precaution in keeping all patients safe, but it helps with contract tracing if there is an issue.
I got a pretty good gash on the bridge of my nose today and drove right to mend. The guy behind the desk,(I actually forgot his name) told me it would be a 90 minute wait. I figured since I was already there why not wait. The office smelled of new paint and was very clean with a nice vibe. I was called in about 20 minutes later. Lilly was very down to earth and I immediately felt comfortable, and when I feel comfortable my sense f humor kicks in. I don`t actually know the job titles of the people who helped me, but Ashley was very warm and friendly as well. They took excellent care of my wound and made feel totally at ease. They were very professional. I would highly recommend a visit if in need of urgent care. I was in and out in about a hour. An overall great experience.

Matt, Shy and Ashley are great! Came 2 weeks ago and today and both times they treated me with care. They are fast and still provide great service. Thank you all for your patience and care.
I came here to take a Covid test / for my urgent need and had no problems. It was quick and easy. Everything was very very clean. The doctors and nurses were really nice and caring they didnt make me wait long and I got test results within a couple days.
This was the best urgent care in the area I have visited. They took my Anthem Blue Cross HMO insurance medical group. The doctor, Ashley and nurse Lilit, were very empathetic and knowledgeable, and the facilities were very clean.
I was seen here recently and had a pleasant experience. I called ahead to make sure they accepted my insurance, and the receptionist on the phone was helpful. I came in on a Friday afternoon and thankfully there was only one other patient in the office. I filled out my paperwork, paid my copay, and was taken into the room by the nurse after about 10 minutes. He asked me a few intake questions, took my BP and temperature, and said the doctor would be in shortly. It took about 2025 minutes for her to come in (I believe her name was Katie). She was highly professional during the appointment and made me feel very comfortable. In addition to all this, the facility was incredibly clean. Overall I was happy with the care I received at Mend and would return if I needed to.
The staff here is super nice and compassionate. I was here Friday around 4:00 and I had the most sweetest, kind hearted P.A. She was very knowledgeable and addressed my needs that was going on. I wish I got her name, but she was very compassionate.
The doctor she’s really nice but the medical assistant is a pain in a but no great customer service and no people skills.
Spent a lot of time going here for a workers comp case and all they did was talk at me and have someone in the room taking notes. I think this place is an insurance scam. There was no referal and no actual physical exam other than taking my blood pressure and temperature. There shouldve been a referral to a therapist from the beginning. This whole scenario was a waste of everyones time and money. As an aside I actually did develop a mild case of tonsillitis and had to do self care and treatment myself. A real doctor wouldve diagnosed that wouldnt they? My workers comp claim was denied. I dont recommend this location unless you want just come in and have a chat with the doctor.
Absolute poster child for what American healthcare does not want to become, we are in a state of distress and we have a bad name throughout healthcare in America, as it is then the goverment, and local agencies allow this place to obtain a license to practice medicine on humans none the less. Please Burbank and surround areas take your business especially when it comes to your own health or that of your family elsewhere, for your sake.....
My wife had a sore, swollen throat, so I took her over to Mend Urgent Care in Burbank. After dealing with the rude receptionist, she was taken into an exam room where she was left to sit for nearly an hour (there were no other patients waiting when she got there). When the doctor (a young PA) finally did come in, she looked at my wifes throat and said she saw no signs of infection, then proceeded to prescribe something for allergy. No test for CV was given. By the next day, my wife was feeling worse, so I took her to a different urgent care facility, where she was immediately tested for CV (negative, thank God). They found that she did indeed have an infection, however, and prescribed an antibiotic. She was seen at this facility by an actual MD with many years of experience. The difference between the two facilities was staggering, and its safe to say well never go back to Mend again, which is unfortunate due to their close proximity to our home.
