List of Denver Health's Reviews
I think overall denver health is a great location, but Dr Eric Wuu is a emergency room MD who will drive this hospitals reputation into the ground. He acts with entitlement and emotion, as a doctor your job is to help. Bias medicine practices are a real thing, be very afraid of these type of characters in a position of power. Belittling and arguing is not professionalism. If you have a choice, see someone else when visiting the ER. I was afraid and in pain, I ended up having to be taken to another another hospital. I then was diagnosed and treated. (Severe) Its sad to see a good place get ruined by a few crappy people.
I am 1700 miles from home & I broke my left arm & dislocated my wrist. Denver medical was absolutely amazing in caring for me. Made me very comfy & my anxiety was relaxed with every single staff who worked on me. Surgery went excellent yesterday & I am in very little pain or none at all. I am highly impressed!!! THANK YOU Denver Medical for taking care of me!!!!
They have a chart system here so they only go off of your chart and they don’t listen to any of your symptoms. Come here if you don’t like figuring out what’s wrong with you or getting actual help! They leave you sitting there for hours without updating you on any of the information on what they are going to do with you or any of your test results! Definitely not how I want be treated when I go to a hospital. I really can’t stand this place. They always take notes and get information incorrect, and because they only go off of those notes they continue to misdiagnose people and get things wrong! They are always dismissive of any concerns questions or comments I have! You can’t treat people poorly for being young and you can’t treat people poorly for having Medicaid. I don’t recommend this hospital to my worst enemy! Not to mention I have received someone else’s paperwork with their address and name and personal medical information stapled to mine!!! Denver Health is truly hell on Earth.
Want a hospital where the administrative staff is incompetent and constantly bill you incorrect things, just really fucking over patients as hard as possible, then denver health is your place. I truly regret the day I ever associated with this horrible, moneygrabbing, fraudulent and evil place.
To anyone considering coming here, do know that the only way to leave the unit is to go to residential. Talking to the doctor here, they would never encourage or allow a person to leave inpatient care (here) and transition to anything other than residential because that is not the appropriate model of transition. If you try to do that, they have the power to get a court order over you. If you try to leave AMA, they will have you psychiatrically evaluated and your ED can be used as a severe and grave threat to your life which can put you on a hold. You are essentially a hostage here unless you follow their demands. I am here now and would say 70% of the unit is on some sort of legal order. Security is here regularly. That saidthis is the only place to go if you are an adult with a severe ED. The team here is amazing and kind. They make the unit as comfortable as possible. While its a rotten place to be, the staff goes above and beyond to be supportive and caring and make the stay tolerable. I would not, if you are deeply unwell, avoid coming here because youre afraid of a hold. Go. Take care of yourself. You can figure out the residential and longerterm stay parts but this place really can and will save your life. I didnt want to come and was incredibly unhappy to be forced to stay here but after staying for over a month, mostly involuntarily, I am glad I was in it for the long haul and can say it restored my physical health. Im sure everyone on the unit, if honest with themselves, would agree. Acute was clean, well run, the staff was respectful and helpful. Doctors, PT, OT, and RD come to your room. Treatment is room based. Every patient is on their own with their own CNA with them at all times. The processionals were good, although I wish I had more GI testing because I was never able to get off the feeding tube. It took some getting used to being watched while peeing and showering, but for the most part, I was tired and spend most of my time napping or resting in bed between appointments. I got to pet three different therapy dogs, and there was an art closet, so it wasnt terribly boring. If you dont finish the food you get laps around the building taken away, then outing privileges, and then they cant really take anything away, but that was so frustrating for me since my vomiting is Gastroparesis and unintentional. Regardless I was treated with the utmost respect the whole time I was there. I was not certed, and I know patients who were certed can have very different experiences than what I experienced. Everyone was so kind at Acute. I wish there could be an Acute for less severe cases, because residential has never worked for me, especially not at ERC Denver. I was on a feeding tube, but from what I observed, patients were served 3 meals and 3 snacks with one caffeinated drink and a few noncaloric drinks. meals were 45min and snacks were 30 min. Your CNA sat with you and chatted unless I needed silence. They were very receptive and helpful.
The staff who I encountered while I was in the emergency room was awesome. Everyone was really friendly and nice, I did have to repeat the same thing a multitude of times. Everything since leaving the hospital has been a really bad experience. Nobody knows anything, I have had to make multiple calls, received different answers, and their system is very messy and there is no consistency. I dread ever having to call there, always have to repeat myself. Nobody has the same answer. I will be happy to never have to deal with this place again
My boyfriend went to this hospital for surgery to replace his hip. They were many hours late getting him the operating room and after surgery made him lay in a gurney in the hallway OVERNIGHT before finally getting him in a room at 7 am!!! Then no one came to check on him to give him pain meds, empty his urinal, get food since he hadnt eaten in 2 days!!! It was awful when he called me crying then they still released him that afternoon!! Absolutely unethical! In response to the number provided to complain about care... we have already taken that route several times and nothing was done about it.
I was never contacted for an overdue bill of $80, instead Denver Health sent it right to a collections agency during the pandemic. I will never recommend this healthcare system again.
worst experience in life. I lost my son. they know why and refuse to respond.
Dan muy buena atención y son muy amables

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
