Uconn Health In Canton's Online Review Report Card

If I could give zero stars I would. I had wanted Dr. Waddington for my newborn pediatrician, called she said she would take her and then when she was born never showed up to the hospital like she told me she would… then never saw her as a patient after. In fact the rude office staff told me that Dr. waddington was too busy to see my infant and pawned us off on a new dr. If you’re too busy don’t take on more patients! This new dr has been nothing short of awful. Dismissing any concerns I have, not investigating anything. Baby had a rash and the office told me to take her to ccmc for a rash… they are a nightmare to leave also. Not faxing her records and being impossible to get on the phone without ridiculous wait times. Avoid them at all costs.

NOTE: My rating is for the Family Medicine division located within the same building, not Urgent Care (read full review)I am a current patient that sees a primary provider at this location. Very happy with the kind and professional treatment I have received from all of the staff in Family Medicine. I am so grateful for their efforts to make each visit as comfortable and painless as possible. Phone calls and messages answered in a timely manner. Provider takes time to listen, ask and answer questions, or provide referrals. She genuinely cares for the well-being of her patients and it shows.However, on the two occasions that I have called after hours, I was connected to an on-call doctor working in Urgent Care. Both experiences were negative and unprofessional in a variety of ways and I can definitely relate to the feedback of others users. Would give Urgent Care facility a lower rating based upon personal experience.

Great staff but lacking in doctor vs. patient care for the past few times that I've been there.Every ailment leads to a stress diagnosis (which it's 100% not) and will recommend yoga or meditation, lol. We all know our own bodies and you shouldn't have to sit there and try to "convince" with your very own doctor leading up to an argument what it's not and since when did UConn Health in Canton, CT become a holistic care facility?

Decided to try out this urgent care as it is close to our house. Unfortunately the front desk & assistant could care less about us. The PA who saw us was quite good, but UConn failed to send our records to our primary doctor as they had said they would. Calling on the phone was the same apathetic phone conversation with front desk. I would suggest looking at another urgent care for your care.

I have used the Canton walk-in on two occasions, and have been pleased with the the entire staff. They were professional and knowledgeable. I would recommended this facility!

The facility was very cautious because of COVID however they charged me $594 for a simple COVID test. I was in total shock when I saw the bill. Do not use this facility. I have been tested other places and it was only $100. I could possibly understand if you use the facility for an emergency but this was a simple COVID test. I wasn’t even showing symptoms.

Do not use this facility if it’s not urgent. My daughter had to have an ear cleaned out and it was not done by a doctor and the charge was 517.00. That’s right for an ear to be cleaned with water and not by a doctor which took a 1/2 hr. The urgent care charge which wasnt urgent was 279.00 and service was 238.00. They need to tell you what the fee is for urgent care upfront even though it wasn’t urgent.

Doctor could careless about patient’s well-being Do not listen and push more testing/lab work, Bc Doctor knew it all. Stay far away from this urgent care. 1 star bc receptionist/clinician very kind/professional. Doctor had smug attitude, zero bedside manner.

I had Disappointing experience ;over 2 hours for an X-ray and interpretation . Very limited dialogue with the doctor, archaic equipment and no confidence in the person who read the reportThe first person I spoke to was so rude.. I started telling her about my injury and she interrupted me by saying”this is not story time” “did I wish to be seen or not?”
