Outstanding neurologist! He always put the patient first. He demonstrated such compassion & validated me. He cared for his patients (as well as his wife- worked with him in the office/ administration) . He went above & beyond with the latest techniques & medications. Beyond all all else, he has integrity, he is ethical, he is a blessing!

I just found out that Dr. Hartley is retiring, and I am so very saddened by this news. He is an extremely competent neurologist, but equally important he is kind and compassionate. A true rare gem of a physician these days, and I wish him only the best. I'm grateful that my migraines have decreased over the years and that I may not need the medical care I once needed when I first came to him, thus not being as concerned about my new doctor. He'll be very hard to replace.

Dr. Hartley is an excellent neurologist. He is extremely knowledgeable about vasts categories of neurologic issues. He is an excellent diagnostician and leaves no stone unturned when he is evaluating you. He has an excellent bedside manner and takes the time to listen to your symptoms and evaluate and treat you appropriately.The office staff is personable and pleasant and you never feel like a number, just being pushed through the system. You can feel confident with the diagnosis you receive upon evaluation and trust that the treatment rendered is the most appropriate for your particular condition. As a healthcare provider myself, I highly recommend Dr. Hartley for any neurologic need.

Dr. Hartley is a superior Neurologist. He is extremely knowledgeable about migraines and medications. I have found that Dr. Hartley takes his time with patients and is genuinely concerned about their progress. I found him very caring and patient. We had to try many different medication treatments for my migraines and not once did I feel as though he was impatient or giving up. When we found the right treatment, my migraine frequency dropped drastically.Review sites like this one are nice for sharing opinions. The thing to remember is that it is impossible to please everyone all of the time. Anyone who has worked with the public will attest to this. There are bound to be good and bad reviews of just about anyone or anything. When people write bad reviews it is important to keep in mind that we don't know the whole story... we only know what they are writing. There may be other circumstances that are not the Doctor's fault which the reviewer is not disclosing. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but just because a couple people have written a bad review does not mean the Doctor did anything wrong.Treating migraines is very difficult. That is why there are so few good Doctors who specialize in it and have a long record of success. Although a good Superior Doctor like Dr. Hartley may not be able to help everyone, his long record of successes and happy patients definitely attest to his skill and ability.Being a Doctor is also very difficult. Every patient is different. Dealing with health insurance companies is frustrating. Complying with regulations and laws is complex. Staying up to date on the latest information about medications and research is time consuming. Despite all of this, Dr. Hartley provides his patients with sound treatments and relief from migraines.

My visit with Dr. Hartley was the best experience I have ever had with a doctor. Not only is this man pleasantly personable, humorous and patient, but he is beyond thorough. Unlike other doctors, he did not want the two-minute version of my problem so he could quickly move on to the next patient. Instead, he hung on my every word, taking detailed notes, asking questions, frequently clarifying and pulling out even more details. Between our consultation, a physical exam and some neurological testing, he spent nearly 4 hours with me on an initial visit in search of an answer to my unusual and difficult-to-diagnose problem. This is what a visit to the doctor should be. Dr. Hartley is a gift to patients lucky enough to be in his care. He is an absolute credit to his profession, and other medical professionals would do well to emulate him.

Dr. Hartley is kind and professional while showing the highest level of care for his patients. He is focused on his patient the entire time he is with them and treats the person, not the symptom.
