List of Lee Metchick's Reviews
My wife has been a patient of Dr Metchick for 7 years. He is very knowledgeable, professional and personable. His staff is always friendly and engaging. He takes the time to review your blood work and explain any concerns.
HORRIBLE DOCTOR! This is the worst doctor I’ve ever seen. He has a terrible bedside manner. Not many people make me uncomfortable, but this doctor did. All he did was push a medication that has horribly side effects. He was rude and extremely aggressive. He sent me for bloodwork, which was not covered by Quest (because of improper coding) and I was stuck with the bill. He then canceled my appointment and I was told he couldn’t get me in for another 3 months. 10 months later, and they still say they’re working on my bill.
Veronica and nurse Julie were very hands-on very helpful and very kind. I only had an appointment for a follow up but they let me see nurse Julie to get my Dexcom put on my body correctly in order to manage my diabetes. I highly recommend their office in Deland.
Dr. Metchick listened to my story about the pain in my hip area and what had been done to try to relieve that pain. I felt confidence by the way he listened to me and asked good questions. I will have another session with Dr. Metchick within the next two weeks.
I was recommended to Dr Metchick by my Gynocologist and I he stayed we needed until my situation was cleared up… now his PA’s follow up with me… he’s a matter of a fact Doctor and I loved that about him… he’s now seeing my sister along with his PA Veronica whom is just as efficient… So as far as I’m concerned he’s the best doctor who cured me of my situation… 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Knowledgeable. Good manner.
I have been a diabetic for 51 years, and Dr. Metchick's team of MP and staff are the bomb! I had a doctor tell me as a diabetic I must have epilepsy and that is why I am having seizures. Really, he was fired as my DR right away. You want good service, be a good patient and listen to them. They are not there to harm anyone, but to help and they have to do what is required by law. Maybe he had a patient who took longer because her husband died of Covid19. Which in my case happened, the staff and all the employees were very compassionate to why my sugars ran low and my loss.
Helps with getting best prices for drugs and equipment
The staff and Dr. Metchick are fantastic. I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer and the staff has been amazing through the whole process from setting up my surgery, radiation treatment and dealing with the hormonal changes. They are very helpful and patient. I would highly recommend them.
The office staff is terrible, they never answer the phone and their mailbox is always full. Dr. Metchick won't see patients on a regular basis, you have to see the NPs in his office. As a person Metchick is very nice and very friendly but since you only get to see him once a year or less, it's useless to use him as a doctor. I've been with his office for over 5 years and my overall feeling is that if you want a Endo that cares about their patients, do not go to this office.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
