Curahealth Jacksonville's Online Review Report Card

I found all the staff very caring. My mom was critically ill but the care she was given was nothing but outstanding. If you have a loved one who needs acute long term care this is the place for you.

A friend of mine needed a longer stay that could be had at an acute care hospital. His family chose Curahealth sub-acute hospital. The care he got was wonderful. We couldn't have asked for a mor caring staff.

I stayed at Curahealth for 16 days. I was quite worried after reading the reviews. I found it to be quite great. My favorite things were James the wound nurse who worked on my major wounds daily and was amazing, best in the business. The two internal Dr’s Blatt and Chopra were very good guys. Their bedside manor is awesome, I would love for either to be my primary care Sr going forward. Most of the nurses were amazing especially the night nurses. Charge nurses Ruby and Diatra were amazing. The food was incredible as Chef Jamie and Chef Milton can cook. Nancy from food service was perfect. The cleaning staff was great and I am so happy to have met Devin. Finally special thanks to nurses Tracey, Carey, Adel, Kevin, Victoria, Veronica, Sheila and Penny. Big thanks to case manager Tatiana and every other employee.

Curahealth Jacksonville is a great hospital and was very impressed by the care given.

My home nurse was very professional

I’m 24 years old and have been struggling with GI issues/ weight loss/ and malnourishment for quite some time. While my main care is given from Mayo Clinic, I have also needed additional extended care and physical and occupational therapy to build up my strength and independence here at Curahealth. Unfortunately, this is my second time being in the facility but when I was told I needed extra rehab, I immediately thought Curahealth. While the building is clearly dated and probably needs some renovations, the actual IMPORTANT part which are the nurses, the doctors, the techs all the way to the lovely cleaning ladies, were ALL amazing. Not to mention the food is better than any hospital food I have ever had. Special shoutout to Eli, Monty, Nina, Sonya, Katie (PT), the occupational therapist (forgot her name), and all the kitchen staff who went ABOVE and BEYOND to make sure that I was taken care of, being challenged in therapy, and making sure my belly was full of good food. Unfortunately for my health, I have to be here for a second time but fortunately I’ve come back to friendly, familiar faces!My only request is that the response to the call light in patient rooms can be much quicker so people who are weak(like myself) don’t have to desperately wait while they have use the bathroom or risk falling and going themselves because they waited awhile.But otherwise, for long term care that I, a friend, or a family member might ever need, I will always recommend Curahealth. Thank you so much. I am indebted to the people here.

My mom was very satisfied with this facility. It is an acute facility so the nursing care was above and beyond. The nutritionist meets you and tailors a meal plan with all your favorite healthy foods.The staff is caring and friendly and extremely knowledgeable. They understand their patients didn't choose to be in a facility and are sympathetic to their needs. My mom was never lonely, the rooms have tvs and are large enough to accompany larger equipment if needed. Plus, there are always students training and are more than happy to come in your room and help you and talk to you. It's clean and professional.The CEO of the Jacksonville facility was a pleasure as well. I highly recommend this facility. And, it smells wonderful, it does not have the odor of a traditional nursing home! Really!

I spent three weeks here-released 12/26/2019. I was unceremoniously dumped here from the "acclaimed Mayo Clinic" after very extensive cancer surgery. I arrived very disoriented, in extreme pain, and was uncooperative with the staff due to my physical and mental distress. Due to the compassionate, attentive care and empathy of the entire staff, I left the facility feeling like a valued human being and 100% better physically and mentally. I have nothing but admiration and sincere gratitude to express for the entire team at CuraHealth. My special thanks to nurse Eli, who went over and above to make my stay as comfortable as possible even though I was very rude to him upon my arrival in my weakened and disoriented state of mind at the time.

This facility was a very positive experience and quality care was given. They care about the patient. Great PT and OT. Respiratory Care is exceptional!

Don't put your loved ones though what I have to go through. I'm miserable being here. I just want to die. Never felt so miss treated in my life. If you love someone don't send them here. Also make sure you bring body and hair soap. They do not supply..want to update this I am retracting this review. The director of quality came to speak with me and resolved the issues. This shows me that they are willing to work with me and makes things right.
