I’m 24 years old and have been struggling with GI issues/ weight loss/ and malnourishment for quite some time. While my main care is given from Mayo Clinic, I have also needed additional extended care and physical and occupational therapy to build up my strength and independence here at Curahealth. Unfortunately, this is my second time being in the facility but when I was told I needed extra rehab, I immediately thought Curahealth. While the building is clearly dated and probably needs some renovations, the actual IMPORTANT part which are the nurses, the doctors, the techs all the way to the lovely cleaning ladies, were ALL amazing. Not to mention the food is better than any hospital food I have ever had. Special shoutout to Eli, Monty, Nina, Sonya, Katie (PT), the occupational therapist (forgot her name), and all the kitchen staff who went ABOVE and BEYOND to make sure that I was taken care of, being challenged in therapy, and making sure my belly was full of good food. Unfortunately for my health, I have to be here for a second time but fortunately I’ve come back to friendly, familiar faces! My only request is that the response to the call light in patient rooms can be much quicker so people who are weak(like myself) don’t have to desperately wait while they have use the bathroom or risk falling and going themselves because they waited awhile. But otherwise, for long term care that I, a friend, or a family member might ever need, I will always recommend Curahealth. Thank you so much. I am indebted to the people here.
