Dr. Robins is always eager to answer my questions and to discuss my fears. He does not rush me out, and he is VERY knowledgeable about the medical issues I currently have. He encouraged me to pursue my "healthy lifestyle eating plan" journey, and to exercise and take off the weight. This will be a hard journey for me, in that I will have to have a lot of self-discipline in the future. He encouraged me in this endeavor, and he will follow my progress in my journey toward a healthier life. I am determined to lose weight, make better food choices and begin an exercise regiment. I could not ask for a better physician; one who is kind, encourages changes and really cares about the health of all his patients.
Satisfied with manager
I've been seeing Dr. Robins for about 7 years and have been very happy with him. My inquiries have almost always been answered within 24 hours, and I have relied on his recommendations. I highly recommend him.
My name is Shannon McLachlan. I was a past patient of Dr. Robins from 2014 to 2017. This review, however, is for his staff members. I moved back to GA and was referred to a hematologist for high hemoglobin and hematocrit levels. As one can imagine, I googled my levels and panic began to set in. Dr. Robins had referred me to a hematologist when I lived in Pensacola, and while I usually keep impeccable records of all my dr. visits, I didn't in that case. I couldn't remember the dr.'s name or the diagnosis. I called Dr. Robins' office and spoke to Brittany (?) and another staff member at different times. One of them invited me to sign onto the patient portal via e-mail so that I could gain the information that I was seeking. When that yielded no results, I called back and was told that she would send a message to Dr. Robins' assistant who could possibly give me the name of the hematologist I had seen. Realizing that I am a past patient and that they are most certainly busy with present patients, I said they could call me back tomorrow. Throughout this whole experience, they were courteous and kind to me despite the fact that I'm sure they were very busy with matters pertaining to current patients. I didn't expect a call until the next day. Instead, I received a call within half an hour with the name of the hematologist and the date of service. I was able to call the hematologist's office and spoke to his nurse who gave me the information that I was seeking. Your staff went above and beyond to help an ex-patient. They were so kind and professional. Please pass this along to them with my sincere thanks! They exemplify what customer service, compassion, and kindness is all about.
Dr nearly impossible to get an appointment with. No same day appointment available since move to bigger building.
Dr. Robins has been my primary for nearly 2 decades. Even though I no longer live on that side of town, I will make the drive for him. He listens to every concern or question I have and celebrates when we reach medical goals. He truly cares about his patients and I don’t ever leave feeling like he forgot to account for one of my many existing issues. Sometimes the wait is longer and exceeds your appointment time, but his work makes it worth it. I have referred friends to him I trust him so much!
TOTALLY INCOMPETENT
Can't get in touch with Doctor when needed. No real follow up on problems..if any follow up done! Takes extremely long time to get appointment....at LEAST 3 months! Referrals to specialists very slow ... weeks if that. Doesn't explain problems at times or thoroughly. Unable to treat chronic problems. Contradicts himself and treatment of care! Would NOT RECOMMEND!
You arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment, wait 25 minutes, only to over hear the office staff telling another patient, who was waiting when you arrived, that the doctor is running 45 minutes behind. If it only happened once there wouldn’t be an issue. Finally you get into a room and wait another 30 minutes! I don’t know who has the time to wait because someone doesn’t know how to properly manage a schedule. His nurse is about as incompetent as they come. She can’t get the doctors orders straight if you were dying. Things have only gotten worse over the years and seems to have escalated since they built this new office they are in. I highly do not recommend unless you have nothing better to do with your day.
If you have hours to wait, Don’t mind poor treatment once you question him on something or ask for a second opinion, Then this is a Doctor for you.
Needs to read about patient before seeing them!
Strongly recommend Dr. Robins for his caring, patient care outcomes, knowledge, and office team approach.
This is, by far, the best doctor I have had. He listens, follows up with detailed meaningful questions and applies your opinion to his analysis. Not did he treat me for my complaint, but he always looks at all the data to get an overview of my health and to recommend check-ups, blood work, etc.
Always reliable with correct diagnosis. Listens when you speak, and probes for more information. Makes you feel better just by being there!
I have learned to be a better patient, more accurate and truthful about my chronic problems specifically with my statements and questions. Dr. Ross listens to me. He has yet to make me fell less than because I don 't understand the problem WE face on a regular basis. I have time to be gratefull for my dr. He helps me be as good as I can be.
I liked that Dr.Robins has a wealth of knowledge & many patients, yet he still listened to me as an individual. He addressed my concerns in a respectful manner & I benefited from his overall expertise. He did not waste time but promptly referred me to the right specialists
While Dr. Robins is fine for basic family medicine, his diagnostic ability is questionable. He only believes in drugs and operations, and has no value for vitamins or herbs. Neither does he seem to accept any imput from patients opinions, as he thinks he knows it all. Rather ridged by the book medicine practice, and he dislikes you obtaining a second opinion. It appears he is more concerned with his practice than your health.
