The best consult ever!!! Finally a Dr. who not only takes the time to listen but seeks to treat the origin of a condition. For the 1st time in years I am hopeful about things.
She was very judgmental with regard to all my previously medical care including in Canada, a system she was clueless about.
Absolutely amazing. Very efficient
Run as far away from this doctor as you can. She is unprofessional and insulting.
I am a registered nurse I have been seeing Dr Weakland for 3years for breast cancer. She is so disconnected and cookie cutter care instead of individualized care. Also very judgemental as to how your outcome and your response should be to your particular problem. Everyone should respond to medication and illnesses the same. I would not send my dog if she had breast cancer to this doctor. The care and the compassion is simply not there. And that matters to most people who have to see doctors
Dr. Weakland is a excellent . She listen to you very well, does a check and balance with your other doctors to insure you are getting the treatment you should be getting. Dr Weakland is very thorough and the staff is very caring. I would recommend her service to my family and friends.
I have had metastatic cancer for 5 years now. Thanks to Dr. Weakland, I am still here!
Most efficient foctor's office I have ever been in. Dr. Weakland easily explained my condition in a straight forward manner, just simple English not lots of medical terminology. At the end of my visit I had a name of the condition I was suffering with. Grateful that I didn't have to worry while waiting for my laboratory results.
Dr. Weakland is a cheerful, empathetic, knowledgeable and professional doctor. My mother and I were very pleased with her services as well as her expertise in the field of oncology. I'm happy and proud to say she's my mom's doctor. Thank you.
Dr. Weakland is a great doctor. Problem is she moves slowly and it is difficult to see her once admitted to the hospital. :(
Several years after seeing Dr. Weakland I am still upset about the dreadful experience I encountered during an office visit. I made an appointment with Dr. Weakland and not only was kept waiting for her, I had to continually repeat my concerns with a doctor training in her office. When I insisted on seeing Dr. Weakland herself she came storming in and verbally accused me of mistreating her staff because I had the nerve to ask to see her personally. Not only was she rude and downright nasty, I was shocked that was how she would treat a patient. Needless to say I never returned and would encourage patients to go elsewhere.
I am a Physician Assistant by profession, so I understand the challenges of patient care better than the average patient. I know that I received superior care by Dr Weakland and the staff of Emory Midtown. Dr Weakland anticipated every potential side effect or complication in each phase of my treatment and prevented it, when possible, or minimized it with therapy. I understand how many variables there are in patient care. I also know that during a month of hospitalization for AML there are hundreds of opportunities for mistakes to be made. There were NO mistakes, no unanticipated problems or complications. Every day my concerns were addressed, my comfort assured. The nurses were wonderful, but I suspect their consciousness is not only a personal standard, but one that Dr Weakland demands on behalf of her patients. Dr Weakland was caring, concerned, empathetic, and emotionally available. Her white coat protects her skin, but doesn't shield her heart. She is not afraid to know her patients. I will forever be in her debt for my excellent care and my very survival.
Laura is very caring and takes all the time I need to understand my treatment options.
When I moved to Atlanta, GA from CT I happened on Dr. Weakland. Now 5 years later I don't want to leave her care. Not only does she take the time to know where you stand in terms of your health, but she wants to know about your emotional health as well. On the times I have been hospitalized, it was so very reassuring to see her and know that she would make sure I was given thorough and caring help.
This office will not accept responsibility for their mistakes and is very defensive when there is a problem.
