Amedisys Hospice Care's Online Review Report Card

My mother has been on Amedisys Hospice for over a year. She receives the best care from her nurse, Katera. She is knowledgeable about dementia and the way it progresses. I have learned so much about dementia from her. We have a wonderful Aide, Amanda, that comes twice a week a helps her get a bath, not always a pleasant task but Amanda is always patient and caring with her. Her social worker, Jackie, has been very helpful and always helps find things we need. Jeff has been our chaplain since the beginning and is always a blessing to us. I am thankful for each of our Amedisys team

I worked with David Ryan of Amedisys to arrange hospice care for my mom. He and Amedisys coordinated with the case managers at the hospital and transitioned mom into their hospice care at her assisted living facility. Amedisys did so quickly and provided thorough and thoughtful care. I would highly recommend Amedisys based on our experience.

We hired Amedisys to provide services for my father that had stage four cancer. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of service we received. We were assigned two nurses Wendy and Angie. They went above and beyond not only to provide comfort to my father. But to our family as well. These people actually care about their patients and listened to every concern that I had. We also had a CNA named Beth help with my father’s care. She was only with our family for a short time. But we were very pleased with the job she done as well. I can’t say enough for this company. I’m sure I’m leaving people out. In the most difficult time in life these people helped make the best of things. I would highly recommend Amedisys to anyone that may be in this unfortunate situation..

Today is Mother's Day, and I have lost my mother. For several months now she has been in Cartersville Amedisys Hospice care. During that time, no matter what situation arose, there was always someone...nurse, social worker, office staff, caregivers...to help! Such caring, kind, helpful responses have been invaluable to me and my family. As difficult as it is to lose someone, this caring, professional staff need to know how much they mean to the families they help...every day through an extremely difficult time. Thank you all.

Major ethical and medical violations abound. Condescending nurses who will disregard family wishes, quicken the demise of the patient, and are generally disrespectful to the patient and families.

I can't even begin to tell you how much the help that we received from the nurses and staff at Amedysis meant to our family during my father's illness. All these ladies were amazing and we will be forever grateful for not only there service, but for the love and compassion that that shared with us. A special thank you to Amanda, Tiffany, Mitzi, Maggie and Misty for going out of your way to make this difficult time less stressful and for always being there when we needed you. You will forever be family to us.

I want to share my dearest Thanks to Amedisys and their staff. Loosing my aunt was one of the hardest things in my life. Their staff helped my family so much and I could not ask for a better group of caring,loving and supportive people to help thru these tuff times. Thank you for your unconditional support and love...

This company is so compassionate! They are like family with knowledge!

Everyone involved with Amedisys were wonderful. They took care of all my fathers needs as well as our family. I had to all the after hour nurse and she responded quickly. I didn't have to worry about anything.
