My experience with Amedysis Kennesaw was exceptional. Carol (liaison) and Kelly (nurse) were knowledgeable, compassionate, and kind. They treated us like family and were exactly what we needed during a difficult time.
Absolutely the worst hospice provider I have ever worked with. We called hospice only to be told that they were short staffed and could they come the next day. Needless to say we called 911
Amedisys hospice care of kennesaw is an amazing place to have on your side as a loved one is requiring hospice care. It's not just nurses, it's an entire team including medical social workers, chaplains, hospice aides and nurses and more if needed. They all work together with the patient and family to create an environment of comfort. The staff are very knowledgeable and compassionate and always willing to go above and beyond. I wouldn't want anyone else. They really are the best around.
Find someone else. This place is horrible at communicating. Horrible at customer servuce or even having "care" in their voice. My dad has dementia and was ordered physical therapy after having covid. These people called the day after he was out of the hospital to start physical therapy. When I said he wasn't strong enough and still covid positive they cancelled the order. No one ever called. I had to call to find out why he wasn't rescheduled after not hearing from them for 5 days. Find someone else. This place is a joke for actually giving care. Oh and.... they offer a home nurse aide.... but they don't actually have anyone to do the job.
Horrible place. Some nurses are good and many are very bad. A few don't respect the patient's right and try to push themselves on them when they don't want to be bothered. They also do the bare minimum when they come to your home. Please research a better company...
Not a good experience with the company at the most difficult time in my life. My dad was sent home with hospice from hospital. The nurses left us with meds and a cell number. The meds seemed to make him more agitated. Called several time starting at 2:30 in the morning. Explaining what was happening. Was told to double up the medication no other calls from them. At 6:00 am was non responsive. At 7:40 he passed. We called hospice to advise. Nurse came at 8:30 to pronounce death. And that was the last time we heard or saw them. We has to call three times to have someone come get the bed and oxygen. A month later called funeral home to see where the death certificate was and the hospice doctor still has yet to sign it even though the funeral home had faxed and spoken with them every other day since his passing. Finally my sister called yesterday to complain and to let them know no one told us what to do with the meds or even call to acknowledge his passing. Horrible service at a devastating time
Amedisys Hospice of Kennesaw July 2021. Very good service during very difficult time. Amanda, Michelle and Theresa. Excellent and compassionate nursing care. Had equipment and services when needed. We recommend.
This company was assigned to provide nursing care to my husband with a wound vac machine. The “nurse” that was seeing him for two weeks never removed a piece of fabric used by the previous “nurse” in the wound and when we went to the Wound Center at Kennestone to have the wound looked at, it was discovered and had to be removed as it had attached to the new skin that was trying to grow and close his wound. After speaking with the person “in authority”, it was clear to us that the company only cared if we wanted a different nurse to start coming out rather then firing them completely. Needless to say, we fired them completely and have reported them to everyone at Kennestone that arranged for them to come to us.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
