The Hemlock Pain Center's Online Review Report Card

I DO NOT recommend Hemlock Pain Center (I clicked "Do not recommend but it placed my comments in the "Recommend" category). What a terrible decision to have ever decided in May of this year - 2024 - to allow Dr. (make a guess) to perform a PNS trial procedure on my lower back. Even with step by step guidance from the Curonix representative who was present while I had this done, I only experienced some relief on days 1 & 2 of the 7-day trial. When the electrodes were removed, there was excessive bleeding, swelling, and bruising. Therefore, I decided I would NOT have the permanent PNS done. Another pain clinic requested my medical records 4 times over the past 6 weeks but, as of today, those records still have not been sent. Surely the "professional" medical staff is not vindictive and resistant, right?

I had problems for years getting someone to listen to me, with a diagnosis of Fybromyalgia, you typically get the brush off. Here I got good feedback and working to find route cause of my pain. Finally got a pain management protocol that is working. Staff is curtious and professional, Dr. Datta and Tafor are excellent.

Return calls take at least 2 weeks to get a response and then it is useless information. For example, one response was to have my spinal stimulator recalibrate. I had it removed 2 years ago which they should have known if they were following my case. The office was ok at beginning and then the powers that be decide your care is not important to them and they act as if your pain is not real. Under no circumstance would I waste my time or money going to an appointment if I did not have pain. Make sure you vet them before calling for your first appointment.

I love Dr.Datta and his crew they have been working hard since day one to find a good treatment for my back and they did on 3/11/24 I really appreciate you guys for helping me regain some of my life back ❤️

Dr. Datta’s rude & un-ethical behavior towards tapering medication is DANGEROUS. Choose anyone else if you need care for pain. You are treated like the paycheck Dr. Datta considers you to be. Nothing more & most importantly a lot less. Do not expect anything else. Have not seen Dr Tafor in years.

I cannot express how thoroughly disappointed I am by Dr. Datta’s poor treatment of patients. As a patient who needed help I know, without a doubt, that you should run, (or hobble like I do) and ask to be a patient of Axis Pain Management. Axis also treats patients in Macon, Warner Robins and Dublin. If you have conditions that interfere with your ability to participate in life and want honest, professional, courteous service do not hesitate to run away from Hemlock,Dr. Datta & the few staff working there who have not run away themselves.

They charged 1495.00 for an office visit and they are very difficult to contact.

I waited for 1.5 hours without treatment. Sign on the wall states that the patient should be patient because some visits take 2 hours. I think that the patient should come first and if they are that over booked or unconcerned for their patients then they need to try harder. I expect to be seen within 15 minutes of the appointment time. My time is just as important to me as their time is. Maybe they should be billed for my time. Axis pain management would possibly be a better option...
