List of Clarity Clinic Psychiatry And Therapy's Reviews
Was told verbatim by the therapist I was with, Sarah Hand, that I had no financial responsibility due to my insurance. 6 months later I’m hit with a $400+ bill because insurance only covered half. My first appointment was in November, and my first statement dropped in January. Just enough time to rack up $650 worth of appointments without knowing. I get insurance only covering a portion, but why lie? And if it’s information not privy to your position, say “I don’t know.” Waste of time and money
I've never had a bad experience. From scheduling to on-site or virtual. They always handle the insurance and accurately inform me of anything. Everyone's super nice, supportive, non-judgmental, and seem committed to patient health. Alyssa has always been amazing.
I was incredibly nervous to go in as I've been through the wringer with wacky zocdoc psychiatrists. Gabriella Lerner was amazing. She listened and took my experiences seriously and explained things to me very clearly and answered all of my questions. Really nice experience overall.
My provider was very friendly and made me feel like a person instead of a number thank you all
Horrible! It’s terrible to get in touch with your psychiatrist when your medication is out and the people are the phone are absolutely useless. They’ve just lost a patient.
Extremely efficient and Therapists truly listen and empathize with you.
Saw all the reviews about people being billed without insurance ever even being contacted and was a bit concerned, but made a psychiatrist and therapist appt each last night. Received a call this morning from billing telling me I am not covered as a dependent on my father's insurance. I know this is not true, it says on our account as I spoke to her that I am covered. She insists she has been working insurance 20+ years and I'm not covered, and says "sometimes parents don't fully cover their kids", implying my father is lying to me when I have the website right in front of me. She was extremely rude and offered zero explanations or help to solve the misunderstanding. Just "You're not covered". Scammy place, it seems they just want to charge you the full balance and immediately send it to collection. Cancelled my appointments.
Great team and clinicians!
My provider is an excellent listener. I feel respected and given ample time to discuss my symptoms and concerns.
I’ve been seeing Alyssa Bobak (PA-C) through Clarity Clinic for 3 years now. When I first moved to Chicago, it took 7 months for me to find a provider able to work with my complex history who also accepted standard Medicare A/B (I’m disabled). She is LGBTQ+ affirming, she is compassionate and takes the time to listen. She communicates with my other physical and mental health providers to help with ongoing coordination of care. Clarity Clinic as a whole has also been very helpful and understanding during bouts of financial hardship to ensure I never lost access to psychiatry services. The flexibility of virtual appointments was lifesaving when I previously worked for an organization that would make me take a full day of PTO in order to leave work 30 minutes early to attend an in-person appointment. Thankfully, I now work somewhere that allows me to only use 30 minutes of sick time to attend appointments; I don’t always love Chicago’s CTA delays, but I do strongly prefer in-person appointments. Having the option to see my provider virtually if weather or life interfere is amazing. It’s rare that I support for-profit organizations for healthcare of any kind. However, Clarity Clinic has been supportive every step of the way. I highly recommend this practice.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
