List of Foot First Podiatry Centers's Reviews
I have been going to my foot angels for a while getting things corrected that genetics caused. Long toes as some call "Greek toes" or "Greek feet," but not at all intellectual or philosophical when you fit them in a shoe--lovely hammertoes and bunion formation to boot. Golly, we're talking nasty feet and the discomfort of dealing with them over the years. Imagine your toes shoving up against your socks and shoes throughout the day and not being able to use a treadmill for long because of that and the blasted bunions. It's nice to know there are experts in the field who will correct these issues, because as we age, it can get worse if not treated. I've had 2 Sklar bunionectomies, one for each foot, and three toes on each foot shortened and straightened. While two toes went rogue and decided to do their own thing by turning inward, I had those corrected as well. I couldn't ask for a more accommodating, kind and awesome team to go through my experiences with. The extent to what I had done takes patience, and let's face it, some good insurance, but I am close to the end of my journey. I am ready to say, glad I went through it all with the team at Foot First Podiatry in Schaumburg and Oak Brook locations.
Dr. Youssef literally saved Christmas at the Foot First Podiatry clinic in Chicago. While setting up my Christmas tree, I accidentally dropped a glass ornament and stepped on a shard of glass while cleaning up the mess. That piece of glass got stuck in my foot and Dr. Youssef expertly and painlessly helped extract the shard from my foot and made it possible for me to continue on with decorating and to go on and have a Merry Christmas. I highly recommend anyone seeking out podiatry care at this location with Dr. Youssef, whether an emergent or chronic issue.
I’ve been a patient at Foot First Podiatry for over three years, and I can’t say enough good things about my experience. I have painful bunions on both feet and have been receiving cortisone injections from Dr. Samantha Sklar during this time. While I know surgery may be in my future, there’s no doubt I’ll be coming to Foot First when that time comes. Everything about this office is exceptional—easy scheduling, a kind and attentive staff, and Dr. Sklar is not only incredibly knowledgeable but also genuinely caring. I typically come in about once every nine months, and she always remembers personal details I’ve shared during previous visits, which speaks volumes about the level of care she provides. Highly recommend Foot First Podiatry for anyone seeking expert, compassionate foot care!
I flew from Philly to Chicago for my Sklar Bunionectomy. It did not disappoint! The entire team is great and Dr. Sklar did an incredible job. I am pain free and my foot looks gorgeous!
Had an ingrown toenail that was just killin me. Went to Foot First and Dr. Sklar and the team fixed me right up. I was really impressed how welcoming and kind the staff was from the moment I walked in. As soon as I was checked in I immediately saw Dr. Sklar (zero wait) and she was very through explaining how the procedure would go that when it was time to get numbed up, I wasn’t scared at all. She was friendly and talked to me while performing the procedure which also helped my mind off of things and honestly it was such a quick procedure I nearly blinked and it was done. The aftercare was very clear and I healed up very quickly. From this experience I recommend Dr. Sklar to anyone with a foot! She’s wonderful.
I am very pleased with the results! At my consultation, Dr. Sklar and Dr. Youssef gave me the rundown with some very real expectations. Their bedside manner was A1! We vibed, and honestly, the entire staff was amazing! Any time I reached out, I was met with quick responses and answers to all my questions. My feet are now 2 beautiful flowers. I will definitely recommend Foot First to all my friends and family.
Stop! And just book your appointment today. i had the toe shortening surgery and it has changed my life. My absolute favorite surgery. The staff to Dr sky the absolute best. Please ignore all other reviews. Everyone here is very welcoming, caring and very very attentive to all your needs. I wish i could give them a million stars!!! I now have the cutest toes and love the showcase them all summer! I mean just look! Let the feet speak for themselves
I had surgery several years ago and was left with a new foot deformity and years of constant pain worse than preop. Keith Sklar is excellent, but you only see him at the initial interview and then the surgery...they try to dissuade any postop appointments. I experienced wildly inaccurate timeframes for return to work, inaccurate diagnosis and treatment for postop issues, and gaslighting by male and female staff. My recommendation is to go somewhere else.
This place runs like a well oiled machine. Dr. Sklar is personable and appears to understand the vision that you have for your feet. He is being honest when he says, things will not be perfect. That's exactly what my foot surgery outcome was, much less than perfect. Dr. Sklar and I discussed on multiple occasions that my goal was to have toe shortening and straightening. He stated that he would be able to accomplish my goal and that he performs this type of surgery daily. After the first toe surgery, I expressed my concern to him that my toe did not look straight. He re-taped the toe to assist with further straightening and said that I have to be patient and allow things to heal. The second toe surgery was no different, that toe was not straight either. So after traveling from Philly to Chicago twice, hotel and rental car fees, missing time from work, limping for months, my feet hurt daily, I have surgical scars and toes that look essentially the same as they did before surgery, just a tad shorter. I am disappointed with the outcome of my foot surgery and continue to be self conscience wearing sandals. All of this for nothing. I expressed my disappointment to him and like the professional that he is, he offered to re-do the surgery. Unfortunately, I rather not go through all of the above again as it is costly and time consuming.
They make you pay everything out of pocket. They don’t use your insurance.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
