Dr. Fynn Thompson does good cosmetic work, but does not provide adequate pain medication.
went as referral after WC injury to dominant hand, large spool of 12/2 wire fell on hand (approx 50-60 lbs). was told by original doctor needed more testing because hand wasn't getting better and i needed a hand specialist. cannot make fist or straighten fingers, pain, swelling, very poor grip, tingling, numbness, list goes on. pain up arm to elbow. first visit, without testing, told i had trigger finger a-1 pulley, did injection that did not help, so he said release surgery. did surgery, no improvement. occupational therapist said did all they could (approx 1 yr of therapy), 50% use of dominant hand according to therapist. went to him put on 10 lb wt restriction for 2 weeks and told i could go back to full duty (which included lifting 100 lbs for job)! released me that day, told me at that visit i had dupuytrens in that hand, didn't tell me what i could do for it or anything, released me that day and refused to see me again, even at request of employer. when i went to appts he talked fast, couldn't wait to get me out of the room, didn't act like he cared what i had to say or how i felt. still major problems with hand requiring second opinion.
I haven't had surgery yet but he's been so wonderful up to this point. I've been scared and asked the questions probably more then 1x and he's always answering them. He doesn't dodge about but is straight forward and we discussed TOGETHER what we felt was best. Which I liked bc it wasn't him telling me - he listened to my worries, set me at ease, explained why I should now rather then later - and he was talking on my level - not medical terms I didn't understand. When he did use the terms he explained what they were.
Likes to talk fast as possible to get you in and out, absolutely no one in the waiting room , would not discuss other issues I had with me, not concerned with repeat customers
I have had 4 surgical procedures and have been very pleased with each of them .Dr Fynn Thompson and his staff has always been friendly ,informitative caring for your needs and comfort. The procedures range from hand to eye lid - tummy tuck and Brest reduction, all I’m Very happy I did ! Worth every penny, very satisfied with my results and of the care post op as pre op care .
I have never met a Doctor as concerned as this Dr. He explains everything Nd takes the time to answer any questions Does wonderful work
No pain management talked about and 2 not 1 bone removed. Still in pain after 4 calls. I'm not doing any surgy without a plan again.
Repaired my ear lobe. It was split so that I couldn't wear earrings, now it's perfect. He did an excellent job. I wanted to have both lobes done, but he thought the other looked good. This shows he's willing to turn down an unnecessary procedure, and is not going to convince you to get more work done than you need.
I am an automotive technician. I use my hands even day to provide for my family. Dr.Fynn-Thompson had me back to work two weeks after my C.T.R. I have seen some really butchered hands from this procedure, but I didn't even bruise. He explained everything and was extremely kind and patient. I didn't feel rushed and he put my worries to rest. A very kind and exceptionally talented and educated man. I will return for C.T.R. for my other hand with total confidence. Thank you Dr.Fynn-Thompson.
Left infections after surgery. I will not recommend this doctor.
