went as referral after WC injury to dominant hand, large spool of 12/2 wire fell on hand (approx 50-60 lbs). was told by original doctor needed more testing because hand wasn't getting better and i needed a hand specialist. cannot make fist or straighten fingers, pain, swelling, very poor grip, tingling, numbness, list goes on. pain up arm to elbow. first visit, without testing, told i had trigger finger a-1 pulley, did injection that did not help, so he said release surgery. did surgery, no improvement. occupational therapist said did all they could (approx 1 yr of therapy), 50% use of dominant hand according to therapist. went to him put on 10 lb wt restriction for 2 weeks and told i could go back to full duty (which included lifting 100 lbs for job)! released me that day, told me at that visit i had dupuytrens in that hand, didn't tell me what i could do for it or anything, released me that day and refused to see me again, even at request of employer. when i went to appts he talked fast, couldn't wait to get me out of the room, didn't act like he cared what i had to say or how i felt. still major problems with hand requiring second opinion.
