Dr. Bergen is an excellent Dr. Very courteous and explained everything well to my elderly mother before her procedure. I Thank God for physicians like you.
I was in Lake Charles taking care of business for my mother when I started experiencing chest and arm pain. I had someone drive me to Memorial Hospital and realized that I was having a heart related issue. I requested Dr. Bergen because he had helped my mother last year. To my good luck, Dr. Bergen was on call and was able to take my case. Little did I know, I had a 'widowmaker' blockage but, after consulting with Dr. Bergen, he went in stented and I am doing great.
Not happy at all with dr Bergen he might have spent two minutes with me told me what a renound cardiologist told me before was wrong with his diagnosis and didn’t tell me why said I’ll see you again in a year and that was it.I will definitely be looking for another cardiologist that doesn’t mind explaining anything to me and doesn’t mind answering questions.
Dr Bergen is great! The visit to the hospital for where his appointment was horrible. The appointment was for my 84 year old father. Dropping him at valet then going park in garage because valet is filled, frustrating. Once coming on through garage into atrium area, go to get him and transport via wheelchair, NONE! We wait for over 30 minutes for a transport. I go to office to get one, they can’t release bc it’s for Cardic office only. Once leaving office to retrieve car and my dad is walking the garage door doesn’t open and no signs to say. And I failed to mention, I was stuck on elevator and notified 3 staff. It still continued to remain open and no signs were placed. I truly am thinking to relocate my father care. This is an isolated incident things are always similar but never to this degree.
Spent less than 5 minutes with me told me what a very renound cardiologist that I saw a few years ago diagnosis was wrong didn’t explain to me why. Said I’ll see you in a year. I had an episode with my heart a few years ago and it caused the the left side of my heart quit pumping and that was all in the report that dr Bergen received from that cardiologist. I felt like dr Bergen didn’t have time for me and didn’t want answer any questions I had. I will be searching for another cardiologist that doesn’t mind explaining anything or answering questions.

All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
