Broadway Family Dental's Online Review Report Card

Recently went in to get a cleaning and exam, and was told that I would need a root canal done because one of my teeth were dying. We scheduled a date and I went in to the office. Dr. Meaney gave me a lidocaine shot in my gums to begin the root canal, and pulled up my x-ray again. Suddenly he said, "I see here that you have two roots, so I actually need to send you to a specialist for this." I was frustrated but nonetheless went to the specialist. After I arrive at this new practice, they run their own x-rays on me. I told them that I was concerned about getting the root canal because I hadn't experienced any issues with the tooth before. They confirmed that I didn't need any root canals as I still very much had feeling in my tooth. Really thankful that I had two roots in that teeth because otherwise Dr. Meaney was about to perform a root canal on me that wasn't needed. The only issue now is that I'm pretty sure I'm about to get a bill for the lidocaine that he gave me for the root canal he never performed.

Well, the cleaning went well... but that was about it. Maybe since a woman did it? I had a cavity filled, and it still hurts (but the dentist thinks that is in my mind). He did a root canal- they told me three times that it was probably just irritated... Well, months later, I'm still freaking in pain, even after all the pills (anti-biotics, steroids) they gave me. They said they would give me a free cleaning and some sealant in that area since my teeth are suddenly sensitive. He even confirmed that the procedure would be free. They tried charging me AGAIN, and I had to fight for the claim that he did say it would have been free. I went through MONTHS of pain with him to only still BE in pain. Yet, it must be in my mind. I never had sensitive teeth like this before. He even tried to do a root canal on my wife, and we went to a specialist (she NEVER needed the root canal. Thank god we went to a specialist.) This place is also a lawsuit in the making if any of his employees ever speak up. He is degrading his employees, talking like he is a bro. I tried to let it slide, but I could not. Guess who now has a bill again, and they cannot explain what the bill is for? Even when I asked them three times? Don't go here.

Visiting Dr. Meaney's office is always a good experience even when I have extensive dental work. This time was a cleaning. My hygienist did a great job. I love all the new equipment Dr. Meaney has for his staff - always the latest advancements. He always shares interesting stories and facts. Dr. Patel is very good, too. Dr. Meaney's office just has a positive atmosphere.

What's not to love about the experience & ambiance of the place! I had a tooth pulled on 5/13 & the good doctor was as gentle as if he was working on his own wife, and he got it out in one piece. No small feat considering the tooth wasn't exactly in stellar condition. With a name like Dr. Meaney, he could live up to his name if he chose to, but he's actually a very lovely man! I highly recommend him & his top shelf staff.
