They where very caring about me as a person then a patient

The nurse n Security Guards kept harassing me from September 24 th til Oct 2nd for sleeping so much ,I had been very sleep deprived from living outdoors n when I would be awake m looking at TV they would constantly pick on me for that as well!They were gossiping aboute m also rici usingr m calling me names!This is former patient Keenan Webb!The Security Guard tried to hit me n I was prepared to hit him back n I was told that I had better not do that! My apologies it was 2024!

I went here just for a simple motor accident just to make sure I was ok. I was met with skepticism I literally just said my right side was injured and I have an headache. My intentions for being there was documentation I was treated like I came for drugs. I don't do opiods. I was asked what I wanted for pain I simply said everyone says muscle relaxer. She treated me like I asked for a percocet. So she says I can give you a shot....coworker in there for same reason was offered muscle relaxers mind you I'm not there for drugs I feel like I was stereotyped and I promise I will tell everyone i know not to come here.

This place dismisses any of your medical concerns and you are treated like a product I a factory they are all about getting you gone as fast as possible . I came by ambulance and when I came in on stretcher was stared and talked about ( same happened to my toddler ) they gossip about you and don't care who hears it . I had started a couple new meds one being a anti depressant , and was having heart symptoms so instead of listening and doing as they should to investigate all the heard was anti depressant and without testing decided it was a mental health issue. Well it was in fact my heart which is not functioning correctly . Had they done their job and not assumed everyone is a mental or pain patient seeking meds I could have started treatment for my heart way earlier . Minus 100 stars I would rather have no care than be taken here . They gossip and judge you and none of the staff belong working in a mediacl environment

Negative Integers, negative stars. My God. Renaming it don't help either. Whole entire ER, Hospital, & Staff needs to be Investigated + REDONE. I used to live not far from the area (Lexington, Monroe, Penrose, Fulton Ave) this "hospital" is in and I can see that nothing has gotten better. People jokingly nicknamed it "Bon SeKillaz" when it was called Bon Secours but even within the joke there was an acknowledgement that this was a "hospital " to avoid if you could, which most couldn't because of circumstances like extreme Poverty, Homelessness, Addiction, Teen Pregnancy, Elderly, multiple chronic health issues, etc. Ironically, Bon Secours Translates as "Good Help." And we know what Grace means, which this place has been renamed as: This "Hospital" provides Neither of the aforementioned. Not only did I have not the best experiences here but the same for family & friends. My mom tried to go here for dual diagnosis treatment for hiv + addiction and they helped her with neither; not only was her doctor removed from the hospital for over- prescribing Opiates, not keeping adequate notes on patients, and some other issues, but the area where the hospital is it's nothing BUT DRUGS...so you have "Treatment Centers" and rowhouses the Catholics have rehabbed & made into places to help with Addiction yet nobody can address the problem of Drug dealers on Every Corner N, S, E, & West. My Grandmother had a Stroke, had a lot of mucus in her lungs that needed to be cleared throughout the day; she could not speak or move and was catheterized. I ran out of her room to the nurses desk frantic "CAN SOMEBODY PLEASE CLEAR MY GRANDMA'S LUNGS bec she had started Choking and they acted like it was a huge Inconvenience. Later in the month my Grandmother was declining, and we asked for something for her pain; the male clinician who came to give her a Morphine shot was Nasty & Cold. She passed soon after thank God not another MOMENT in this Horrible hospital! I was actually diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes here yrs ago and while there were some sweet nurses and doctor there was a female nursing assistant or whatever she was coming around asking patients nastily if they were able to get out of bed today and "Were you able to bathe today; she was FAR from pleasant. The staff also forgot about me eating after my fasting glucose test; I had to keep saying & Insisting "THE TIME HAS PASSED I CAN EAT NOW I'M STARVING!" When dietary came with a bad, dry meal the lady looked @ me shaking her head and said: "Honey you shoulda had something 12 hrs ago." The front desk who checks you in for ER are like whatever. And many of the Security Guards are not nice nor in any way professional. I was taken to X-ray once from the ER and when I got to the X-ray room there were all men down there in the room talking like it was a social event. A few looked like they didn't need to be there just talking with friends. I felt very uncomfortable with just panties & a hospital gown on. I could recount a lot of other things but I've already written a Book. Suffice it to say this wouldn't even be my last resort hospital, (and Thank The Lord I've been @ a different Hospital for Healthcare a while now, which isn't the greatest but anything's better than this place!) ...but if you are low income with not a lot of resources; maybe not even health insurance or just medical assistance & Medicaid; esp elderly, addicted, chronically ill, or young & pregnant, and live in this area of Baltimore, sadly there's not many options Except a place such as this. And no 1 really cares because it is mostly us people of Color (but mainly poor & very Low Income ppl in general) who Live in the neighborhoods surrounding the hospital and are it's Patients.

My mother is currently there. They have not addressed her trauma from being robbed at gunpoint. She is a Senior. No psychological evaluation, no mental health evaluation. No recommendation to transport to another facility that could help her. She is in great pain and anguish and bleeding. Some staff get annoyed when you have basic questions and become confrontational. They are ready to send her out without addressing all of her needs. Please if you have a choice don't go there. 10/19/23 Update: Someone came by to see my mother and give her information on counseling and other services. People just know this is not a regular hospital.

I’ve been in a lot of physical pain. The First Lady I spoke to on the phone was very sweet. But there was white lady in the emergency room department who didn’t care at all. I asked if I could get an ultrasound, and she’s like only if the doctor feels it’s necessary. She didn’t inquire or anything; I would expect women to be more understanding.
