Sat there for 5 hours just to keep moving me didn’t know if they could register me and then talked about me while I was walking away ugly attitude We didn’t make you get a job bro just for a pregnancy test btw never again!!! -1star
Still waiting after 8 hours.
Hands down the worst emergency room. The care is below subpar. The attitude of the staff reflects the nasty attitude of Baltimore. John Hopkins has a good reputation due to it's research and some of it's medical advancements, but the care is consistently terrible. The providers are rude, arrogant and simply don't listen. I've been forced to get secondary insurance so I no longer have to come here as a patient. This mess of a hospital is a shame.
Thank you very convenient information on directory for the location of where a patient needs to go
This was the worst emergency department experience I had from this hospital at this time I came in via johns Hopkins lifeline ambulance from the johns Hopkins outpatient clinic and I've been waiting in the ER for over 14 hours in pain and add in salt to injury I went into hives in there emergency department because someone was spraying strawberry perfume and also I all most feel in there emergency department bathroom I had a nurse that was extremely rude and very arrogant and my pain is so bad that like I said before I almost fell in the emergency department bathroom and there was no help neather also patent relasions was no help but at least there emergency department and bathrooms are super clean but I'm losing faith in there emergency department
Get you in and get you out
Unfortunately this is one of the worst hospital experiences I’ve ever encountered. I’m currently in the ER (from Northern VA) for a hematuria condition and outside of blood work being taken, I have not been seen. They left an IV in my arm and I’m extremely concerned about my condition. I’m considering checking myself out and driving to another hospital in my area. UPDATE: It’s not the people thats the problem, it’s the system. The healthcare system has been destroyed and in dire need of repair.
Got to the Emergency room at 8am. It is now 1:10pm THE FOLLOWING DAY and still here in the ER. 29 hours and 10 minutes…& counting. Do not come here.
My experiences with this ER have been terrible. I encountered doctors who did not listen to what I explained and whose reports failed to reflect the history and clinical signs accurately. The one exception was Dr. Lauren Gard, who truly stood out. She showed integrity and professionalism well beyond her years (she is still a resident) and beyond all her more seasoned colleagues. She listened carefully and made a genuine effort to help.
I work at eye doctors office and we refer patients all the time. A dear friend of mine went for an issue and she has been there since 9am. It is now 5:42pm. I won’t be sending anyone there ever again. If I could give negative stars I would.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
