List of Trinity Health Iha Medical Group, Primary Care - West Arbor's Reviews
I agree with the other reviews about this medical team's approach to prescriptions and office visits. Their communication is abysmal. They have a policy to deny continuing prescriptions if you do not come into the office enough for visits. While theoretically this is sort of understandable in a vacuum, they do not provide enough warning about their policy nor do they have any empathy for how difficult it is for a working parent to actually do that. Don't wait until someone has a week of medicine left because you sat on the prescription refill request for 4 days. I also think it is unethical to deny someone medicine which they are aware is necessary to sustain better health. I have found a different PCP in a different organization. It may not end up being better but people need to send a message to these bureaucratic health entities that they need to respect their patients as humans with free will and competing demands on their time.
Excellent care and billing practices
They lie to patients and turn them away saying their insurance won’t cover a visit - without even verifying. They’re incompetent and provide poor patient care. I would avoid at all cost.
Usually this spot isn’t bad at all, today was horrible. I came in because I had serve sinus pressure, I am prone to sinus infections passed down from my mom. To state again, I was in severe pain. I have gold brownish colored mucus, and ALL of the symptoms for a sinus infection. Dr. Gillim did absolutely nothing. She told me “to wait another 5-7 days until symptoms going away or an infection pops up.” I’m so disappointed, when you’re in pain and relying on your doctors to help you and they don’t, it’s like a slap in the face. Now I’m going to be in pain for the next 5-7 days or until an infection pops up.
The response of the office with regard to questions and medication refills has gone downhill. I have been waiting for almost a week with almost no follow up to my portal discussion.
I've been a patient at this doctors office for the past 10 years. I have been treated for numerous issues here. Those visits haven't always been the greatest because I always have issues getting refills for my medications in a timely manner, even just simple BC. However I continued to frequent the office. Huge mistake! I should have stopped a long time ago but everything happens for a reason. Recently, I had terrible pain in my feet and made myself an appointment with a podiatrist who properly treated me. They requested that I get a global referral from my primary care provider. I called my primary care physician and requested one but they adamantly refused to give me one because I hadn't been seen for foot pain in her office. I find that completely ridiculous. I am very disappointed. I will not be returning. There are better providers out there!
Ms. Yi (Emily) Li, is my sister's primary care physician. Very very very very supportive. She cares about her patients, very empathetic, doesn't talk machine like. She is a good listener, always ready to answer the patient's questions. It is very difficult to find doctors who think about the patient's well-being. She always "all ears." If you haven't decided your primary care doctor, I highly recommend Ms.Yi Li. (**This is not a sponsored review**). Thank you so much Dr. Li. 😎🙏🙂👏 *Thank you for reading my review.🙂😎🙏*
First time Doctor Visit went fine. First time Checking out… horrible experience. Patiently waited at Check-out window until woman gossiping was finished gossiping who then told me to check-out at the front desk…went to the front desk where I was cut in line twice and told to wait in line once I addressed being cut twice “in line“. Do better this experience could have been avoided. Something so simple as checking out should not have been so complicated.
DR.Benjamin Kaplan is my primary care doctor. He is such a wonderful doctor. He cares for his patients' well being. The nurses Melanie and Debbie are so nice. I am very thankful for the doctors and nurses, front desk and the whole clinic 🙏 .
I visited the urgent care at this location and had a great experience. They were going close in 40 minutes but we didn't feel like we were rushed in a bad way. We received great care from all, the Dr. was very thorough with examining my daughters toe injury and she made sure we understood the future care well. I believe we were only there for an hour and a half on a Saturday afternoon.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
