Went to see Dr. Roberts with an extremely sore throat and a long history of strep throat. He had already told me I needed tonsils out at a previous visit. He tested me for flu,but not strep and I was given no meds to help with pain. He told me to call him back that evening if pain was not better. I called and he was already gone for the day- leaving me in pain for another night. The next morning,I went to see my regular MD who said my tonsils were extremely red and swollen (Roberts said they looked “perfect”) and he gave me medication to help with the infection that was starting and something to help with pain. I was literally unable to swallow my own saliva. Dr.Roberts seemed more concerned with surgery that treating me that day. I do not suggest seeing him as a “specialist”. I got more help from My regular MD and google,for that matter. He may be a nice guy,but a sub-par doctor and terrible specialist.

Dr. Roberts cared for my spouse when he developed a boil inside his nose. His treatment plan was swift and involved incision and drainage of the area. His bedside manner was profession and caring. He was very concerned this infection could get out of hand and educated us on that possibility and what steps would be needed. Husband is an Alzheimer’s patient and he treated him kindly and with respect never getting aggravated when he had to repeat things more than 3 times. I am Thankful for providers such as Dr. Roberts and am thankful he practices in the Jackson area. He also saw me when I developed positional vertigo. Therapy was prescribed which cured my issues. He new exactly what it was when I was seen that day. Again, you can not get a better professional than this physician. I highly recommend him to anyone.

In my opinion, Dr. Jess Roberts is hands down the best ENT at St. Dominic’s Hospital in Jackson, MS. He diagnosed my husbands tonsil cancer. After two needle biopsies came back clear - Dr. Roberts insisted that there was indeed something there - he did an invasive tonsil biopsy and indeed cancer was present. Without Dr. Roberts insistence on doing this biopsy, my husband would probably not be here as we were told this is a rapidly growing cancer. Our trust is 100% in Dr. Roberts. My husband went through 3 years of chemotherapy and is blessed to be cancer free today thanks to Dr. Roberts.
