Love the food and education and, most importantly, the weight loss. I was doubtful anything could help me, but I was wrong. PHD is honest, scientific, and works!
Over the years I have participated in several weight loss programs with success. However, with the previous programs I had small weight gains just as soon as I stopped the diet. On the PHD program I lost 18lbs in 8 weeks which was my goal. I have been in maintenance for almost 2 months and have actually lost a couple of pounds more. Of all the programs I tried, I have been happiest with PHD for several reasons: It did not restrict my activity while in the weight loss phase. Dr. Ashley's videos are informative, presenting each topic in a clear and understandable way. The coaches and all staff in the clinic are knowledgeable, friendly and supportive. They will work with you to come up with alternative meal plans if you dislike any of their food items. The website is full of useful information and recipes. Lastly, after changing my eating habits for the last 4 months, the inflammation and pain associated with my rheumatologic condition has plummeted (marked decrease after month 2). At age 55, I feel like I FINALLY know how to eat to sustain my desired weight but also know support is available if I stumble. Thank you PHD!
All the employees are so kind and welcoming and knowledgeable. They are very friendly and say ‘hello __my name’ when I walk in. Also, they genuinely care and guide me through each check-in. Plus the FOOD is really great!!
I have spent a little over a year with the PHD team in Asheville, NC and the level of support I have received and the professionalism of the team is unmatched. I have let go of 70 pounds and at almost 50 feel better in my body than I ever have in my adult life. The clarity, that I have around my health goals as I move into maintenance is for sure the product of the guidance I have received along the way. Thank you Asheville PHD team.
Can't say enough about PHD - the program and the people are phenomenal. I never really had issues losing weight or being overly overweight but after making a conscience effort to be healthier where I "thought" I was eating well, working out and quit drinking alcohol (mostly craft beer - think thousands of extra empty calories per week!) - I couldn't drop a pound. Plateauing in the 230s (at 6'1), not happy with my weight and not getting any younger - I was persuaded by the ear-worm ads playing over and over on the radio (thanks Jordan - 98.1 - The River!) - to swing by the Asheville location. I was pleasantly greeted, triaged and welcomed into a free consultation. They took my metrics (weight, height, body fat, visceral fat) and provided a pretty thorough overview of what they do and what they could do for me - in little over 30 minutes. Bottom line - based on my numbers - I was told I could drop 40 lbs in 14 weeks - if I followed their plan. I was not pressured to commit although being given that kind of hope was persuasive enough for me. I have to admit I was certainly skeptical at that moment but sold! They literally told me exactly what I needed to do, how to do it and come in weekly to evaluate my progress with their team of coaches. Fast forward 14 weeks and here I am down 48 lbs!!!! Feel amazing and I really couldn't be more excited. Best part of it is I can go there for as long as I live to maintain what I have achieved. Literally - free maintenance with them - for life! PHD is the real deal. The team in Asheville are top notch - I don't even want to highlight any one person since they are all 5 star in my book. Every single person there from the front desk to the personal coaches - and I am pretty sure I worked with each and every individual over the course of my 14 week transformation - fantastic!!! Always with a smile, always holding me accountable and explaining what I could do better (constructively) or how to mix up my diet to hit my goals. Not to mention an education on nutrition. It really could not have been easier and I would not have wanted to work with any other group of folks than the AVL team at PHD. I always look forward to stopping by for my weekly assessments. The only complaint I have is that I wish I found them sooner!! If you want to lose weight - PHD should be a no-brainer.
I came to PHD in late July desperate to lose the 30+ pounds I gained from, what I thought, was menopause. I've tried Noom, Atkins, Virgin Diet, Fast Metabolism Diet, Golo, fasting - you name it, I went for it. My first meeting was so low pressure and so supportive I agreed to start the program immediately because the approach made sense. 17 weeks later, I've let go of 37 pounds with 4 more to go to meet my goal weight and go into maintenance. The education I've received about what to eat and when and how much has been invaluable to me. I've NEVER felt hungry, I've NEVER felt deprived and I've NEVER felt healthier and more proud of myself. This program has changed my entire approach to food and I feel like I now have the tools to empower me to keep the weight off for good. Thank you, Dr. Lucas and the entire Asheville coaching team, for helping me achieve something I thought was impossible. If you're reading this review wondering if you should give this program a try. Don't hesitate, just do it. It's life changing.
PHD has transformed my life.
In one sentence the PHD program works! Providing you are focused and have a reason why, the desired results are attainable. In hindsight, I only wish I had invested the time and effort sooner. After months of hesitation, I decided to move forward with this next chapter of my life and do something not only for myself but for my spouse and family and I'm so glad I did. The results speak for themselves as not only have I reached the goal I set, I surpassed that goal by 10lbs and lost over 50lbs in my 17 week program and I am now feeling better than I have in years. I have more energy and no longer experience so many of the underlying health issues related to poor eating habits. The team, and especially my nutrition coach Lori, have been there every step of the way making sure I stayed focused and ultimately reached my desired weight. The program is so much more than just weight loss as its an entirely new way to look at how important of a role our behaviors and food choices play in how we look and feel. The food choices provided are great and the information on the website including webinars are extremely helpful educational tools. My primary physician is very pleased with not only my weight loss but the positive affect it has on my overall health. The program doesn't stop after the weight loss portion ends as you progress into the maintenance phase. I am now beginning to adjust my diet that will continue to maintain the healthy lifestyle that I have embraced and keep that weight off and I have my coach and entire team continuing with me on this journey. I am excited that both my spouse and daughter have now become part of the PHD family. Thank you Team PHD for all you do!

PHD Weightloss changed my life. I am down 75lbs and have maintained for 11 months and feeling great! Yes, it is expensive however I have reclaimed my life and health and that is worth it!
