Carolinas Imaging Services - Southpark's Online Review Report Card

While the staff in the office were great, I have been overbilled by $408 due to an error with their payment plan system. Calling their billing department led to me being told that my account number had "been assigned to a different patient" that "I do not exist" and then being put on hold, and hung up on. The contact form on their website is pointless, I've filled it out 3 times over a month, to be ignored each time. Do NOT trust CIS, or Charlotte Radiology with your financial information.

New to the area and was told the Levine Cancer institute was top notch. Well it might be but the facilities in the Atrium family are not....It’s clear this facility cares only about payment and revenues as opposed to patient health. My wife was there for follow-up scans after several surgeries and chemotherapy and yet they told her they would not do the scan unless she paid upfront without even knowing what the actual balance due would be. They assured me that they would get me a refund as soon as they could if there was any overpayment. I’m pretty sure a hospital doesn’t need my money more than I do especially during Covid. Will never recommend this company to anyone and I’m now looking for a new doctor. Not willing to see a Dr willing to work with a company that is so cold and not empathetic. Furthermore when they “offered to give me a favor” by allowing me to make a smaller payment up front and then setting up a payment plan later I come to find out they want to try to charge me interest!!! I have never heard of a healthcare company charging their patients interest absolutely ridiculous!!! No wonder so many Americans want universal healthcare, companies like this are running our healthcare system and driving us down the road to socialized medicine.

With two recent visits, one for an Utrasound, the other for a Catscan, I cannot say there was consistency between both appointments.If I would rate this Imaging center only on the Ultrasound appointment, it would be a 1 star review. 30 minute delay in the waiting room and rude staff. However, my second visit for the Catscan was a completely different experinece. From check in to post exam the staff and explanation of things was great. So, I figured I'd average the two appointments and give them three stars, but I really think they might be a two. The staff needs to work on being a little more patient with questions, and not so rude, and if they are running 20 - 30 behind I think they should tell patients upfront, as I scheduled this in between meetings, so would have been able to call someone and move things around.

Great service, prompt and helpful

My doctor is upstairs from their offices and scheduled me to get a quick KUB x-ray, which should only take about 10 minutes to do. I was in their office at about 12:50 and was the second in line to get the x-ray. At 1:20, I asked how much longer it would take. The front desk attendant called back and said about 10 minutes. At 1:40, I asked again and they could not get hold of anyone. No one went back to see what was going on or try to help me. After waiting nearly an hour, I just left and said I'd get it at Morehead Imaging as they usually do this same thing in about 20 minutes including wait time and with no appointment. Terrible service and wait times.

Such a disappointing service! Scheduled my appointment through the referral, took a half day off to drive to a Ballantyne location and got a cancellation message a few hours before the appointment. Called the office and didn’t get any opportunity to get in the same day. When patients cancel their appointments the same day, they get charged with a cancellation fee. However, when a provider lacks to provide a sufficient coverage during busy days, nothing happens. Not even an apology owed. Very rude staff who wouldn’t even try to offer options.

Faster, clean, kind service

I had a CT scan done at this practice today and was very impressed with the customer service provided by the radiologist staffer (Kristen) who did my scan. Was prompt, helpful, and processed my scan in less than 15 minutes. Front office staff were also prompt and answered all questions in a very short time. Definitely would recommend practice in the future.

Can not give a good review.This office had my Dr referral for 2 months and I had to call to find out what was going on to get my appointment scheduled.Then they scheduled it for the wrong procedure.I even said what it was for when I called. Was told I would receive a discount if I paid in full at my appointment. So I paid the full amount that I was told and am now getting bills for more money. I need more test according to this place.Don't think I will be going back. I can not trust this place. Will have Dr.send me elsewhere.
