I would highly recommend Pasadena Villa for anyone committed to making self-improvement and mental health a priority. Here you'll learn tools to cope and work through trauma and other mental health conditions by understanding vulnerability and gaining self-awareness. Each team member is warm, welcoming, and helpful in their area of expertise. Pasadena Villa will be a great stepping stone on your path to success!
I’ve been working with Josh Coble and the team at Pasadena Villa for years. They’re a terrific option for PHP and IOP mental health care in the Charlotte community. Thanks for always providing honest, evidenced-based, compassionate care.
Wow! I don't know where to start this heartfelt review. Sometime ago, I was in desperate need for help and once a week counseling was just not enough. My counselor told me about IOP (Intensive Outpatient Program) but I was so apprehensive as I've never done something like this before. But I knew I needed help, so I reached out and set-up a screening appointment. That's where I learned from the therapist who was screening me about PHP (Partial Hospitalization Program) where you go in part of the day and take part in group therapy. I agreed to sign up and went in my first day super anxious, super nervous. Everyone was so nice, and made me feel comfortable, and I started opening up. I attended the program in person about a month and it was a life changing experience. Before this program I was having maybe like 2-3 panic attacks a day if not more, and now months later, I’m down like 1 panic attack a week or every two weeks, which is huge improvement for me. My anxiety has not completely gone away, but I’ve learned so many tools through this program to help me better cope with anxiety, and I’m confident that with years to come and ongoing practice of my coping skills, my anxiety will be a thing of the past. I am looking forward to that day.But if you’re reading this review, you’re clearly not 100% about whether Pasadena is the right place for you or not, then let me know reassure you, the people there, the therapist there, are all super wonderful and I really strongly believe that they genuinely cared for me and my well-being. They were in it together with me. I was not alone, and that’s what I loved about the program.
You could probably count the number of reviews I have given on one hand, but I feel it would be irresponsible of me not sharing what a life saver Pasadena meant to me and others. I first came to them due to their holistic approach to patient care, but was very pleased with their professional therapists and, although a group setting, their sincere individual concern for every group member. The variety of classes were both informative and reasonable for this type of care and the one-on-one Therapy Sessions were individually tailored to that of the patient. I want to sincerely thank them and would strongly encourage anyone seeking this type of care, call !!!
I came to Pasadena not knowing what I had and how to address my feelings, during my process I learned so much about myself, my triggers, my values, etc. The most important part for me was to learned about how my body and mind work and how can I improve myself. The staff has been more than amazing and have helped me to process and learned how to improve myself and how to manage my Ptsd, bipolar, anxiety and depression on a healthy way. Utilizing the tools given have been esencial to my process but I recognize I couldn't do it without the support of not only the therapist but also the amazing people that are willing to be vulnerable and share their experiences. I can not thank enough Pasadena Villa for helping me a better version of me.
I am beyond grateful for my experience at Pasadena. I not only gained the much needed confidence in myself but skills to use for the rest of my life. I had been in a low place for a long time and now feel hopeful for my future. You have to be prepared to do the work but with all the support from group and therapist you aren’t alone. I could literally write a novel about my time there but will keep it simple as possible. Know if you are struggling this place is here. The only person that can take charge of your recovery is you and this place provides the skills for you to keep showing up for yourself. They are real and the atmosphere is comforting. I miss it being apart of my daily routine but am thankful to now be in a place where I trust my self and know who I am as a individual. A more confident and compassionate person.
Pasadena Villa is a great place to work on recovery in a group setting. The staff is exceptional, friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to work with each client depending on their needs and desires for improving their life and understanding of today. Pasadena offers in person partial hospitalization as well as intensive outpatient virtual treatment which focuses on cognitive concepts and dialectical behavioral therapies. I would recommend Pasadena to anyone wanting to better themselves and participate in group therapy to improve their self understanding. Thanks for providing me with the tools I need to move forward from now.
This facility and its staff are *exceptional* and changed (and saved) my life. I rarely leave Google reviews, but I feel it is important to share my experience with Pasadena Villa and to encourage anyone who feels in need of help to contact them.I spent many weeks in the Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) working in both group sessions and individual sessions with the Psychotherapists, Therapists, and the Psychiatrist at Pasadena Villa. Each Psychotherapist and Therapist brought a different and unique approach and focus to each group and session. This allows everyone in each group to approach a number of different issues and concepts (for example trauma, anxiety, depression, or grief) in a number of different ways (for example learning about healing, coping, growth, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and solution focused therapy) and was tremendously helpful. It was never repetitive, and the variety and depth of the topics and personal approaches helped create meaningful and sustainable progress and change.I came to Pasadena Villa in a very dark place and without hope - I was in crisis and did not know what to do or where to turn. Over the weeks I worked with the staff, while it was difficult and emotional work, the program absolutely was an unqualified success for me, and by the time I left I had gained knowledge, skills, tools, a different perspective, and (most importantly) *hope*.With regard to the individual Psychotherapists and Therapists, I also want to note that I am over 50 and have worked with numerous therapists and doctors over the past several decades, but the staff at Pasadena Villa are without exaggeration the best I have ever encountered. Across the board they work extremely hard to connect with each group and each person and help them make progress and gain skills and knowledge. They are also all highly skilled and experienced. Of particularly note for me were Jessica (who provided kind and remarkably observant and insightful guidance and support on a number of issues regarding trauma and coping), Jenna (who provided keen and observant analysis, understanding, and guidance on relationships, trauma, family issues, and shame), Deanna (whose unique approach to exercises in building skills and strength led to an "a ha!" moment in almost every session), Philip (whose gentle and open approach to a number of different types of counseling created a welcoming and effective atmosphere for learning and growth), and Kaitlin (whose joy, enthusiasm, and incredibly generous work with music therapy created a surprising and uplifting space for discussion, sharing, and expression).I was very nervous about entering the PHP and IOP programs at Pasadena Villa and did not know what to expect, but I never even dared to hope that it would be as remarkable and rewarding of an experience as it turned out to be. All of the staff at Pasadena Villa have my sincerest gratitude and thanks for providing the most important experience of my life, and for helping me discover the gift of hope for the future.
Back in October, I started to struggle once again with addiction and came upon this place through a referral. I cannot tell you how happy I am that this practice became a part of my life. I’ve been an addict for over 20 years and I suffer from multiple mental health problems. I did not try and seek any kind treatment until January 2017 when I felt at my very lowest. I went to rehab in South Florida for 3 months and all it really did was keep me sober for a short stint, but I did not understand myself or how to use effective coping skills. Pasadena Villa gave me all of that and so much more. The therapists there really challenged me to open up and learn about myself and they also nurtured me through some incredibly difficult self discoveries and exposed traumas. I feel more confident now, more than ever, with the skills I’m leaving with and how to apply them everyday in order to live a much happier and balanced life. I could not thank every member of their staff enough, and I hope if you’re reading this then maybe you’ll brave that first reach for help because I know how difficult that can be for lots of us.
We have worked with Pasadena Villa both professionally and personally over the years. They have a caring and responsive staff. As the owner of a psychology practice, I regularly recommend them when a higher level of care is needed. We have had many opportunities to collaborate with Pasadena and have seen great results out of their PHP and IOP programs.
