List of Cary Orthopaedics Physical Therapy's Reviews
On January, 29, 2024 I visited Cary Orthopaedics (Holly Springs) for an appt. with Dr. Eric Lukosius (Foot/Ankle Specialist) for a burning/tingling sensation in my left foot. He was quick to order xrays; later returned to the exam room to say there was nothing unusual on the xray and I should try foot pads in my shoe. He took 2 shoe pads (about the size of a fifty cent piece) from his doctor's jacket and basically tossed them at me and said to try these. He might have been in the room for 5 minutes, and only probably because I asked a question. Total charges..$364.20..with the 2 pads costing $62.00 (how absurd). He could have cared less and couldn't leave the room quick enough. Payment between my insurance company and UNC-Health (9 phone calls) has been ongoing for more than a year, mostly relative to the $62.00 charge, which was billed to me at $24.80. When I called the HSprings Office (January 2025) to speak w/the Office Manager, Gabby, and tell her of 1) my dissatisfaction with the services rendered, (she did listen and apologized), and 2) my dissatisfaction with the ridiculous $62.00 charge, she said she would research the charge and might be able to get it waived, and promised to call me back in 5-6 days. (Also during this year-long escapade between my insurance company and UNC-Health; UNC-Health referred my account to a Collections Agency.) It's now 2 weeks later and I've never heard back from Gabby (why should I be surprised). I would not recommend Dr. Eric Lukosius if you want a caring and professional doctor, and obviously the front desk has their issues with customer service. VERY VERY disappointed in the lack of care, empathy and ridiculous charges.
My review is for the physical therapy operation on the second floor of the building. This is my third PT rounds in three different PT businesses in the past 10 years. I didn't know what to expect during the first two PT rounds and I felt they were ok. This time, I'm working with two physical therapists and they're both absolutely great. I started PT on the fourth day after my right knee total replacement surgery. They paid attention to my condition and progress. They've been gently and steadily increasing the level. I feel challenged but not painful. I'm recovering much faster and stronger than the previous times. The facility is also nice; spacious and well equipped. Thank you, K & N.
Unparalleled Care and Expertise by Dr. Sameer Mathur, MD in Cary, NC Dear all, We, the Gangwal family, are writing this review to express our deepest gratitude and admiration for Dr. Sameer Mathur, MD, an orthopedic spine specialist based in Cary, NC. His involvement in my mother's femur surgery in November 2023 was beyond exceptional, and his dedication was akin to that of a devoted son. Dr. Mathur's commitment to his patients is truly unparalleled. He was present throughout the night, holding my mother's hand until 1 AM, providing comfort and reassurance in a way that went above and beyond his professional obligations. His constant presence, both physically at the hospital and through regular phone check-ins, was a source of immense support for our family during this challenging time. His exceptional knowledge and experience in orthopedics were evident in his thorough understanding of my mother's condition and his contribution to her successful surgery. However, what sets Dr. Mathur apart is his extraordinary empathy and kindness. He is not just an excellent surgeon but also a remarkable human being. We are incredibly grateful for Dr. Mathur's unwavering dedication and support. His tireless efforts and genuine care have left a lasting impact on our family. We wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Sameer Mathur, MD to anyone in need of orthopedic spine care in Cary, NC. His combination of medical expertise, patient care, and compassionate demeanor is truly rare. Thank you, Dr. Mathur, for your exceptional service and for treating my mother with such kindness and respect. You have our utmost respect and gratitude. Sincerely, The Gangwal Family
the website states saturated fat is bad for you lol. if they are experts? they would clearly know that animal fats are good for your joints. animal based foods decrease inflammation!
My wife had a total knee replacement done by a Doctor at Cary Orthopedics. Within a month or so she experienced discomfort, pain and stability issue's. Went back to Dr. he said it wasn't the knee. He sent her to a back specialist, then chiropractor. this along wiith 3 plus years of physical therapy. Did nothing, She still had issues and extreme pain. Continued to go back to Dr. then tried another Dr within Cary Ortho. The second at first had concerns about the knee. He said no one in the USA was using that knee anymore and there was a history of issues related to that particular knee. However after consulting other Dr's at Cary Ortho and waiting on an answer for about a month. The second Dr at Cary Ortho said they couldn't do anything even though they had acknowledged an issue. The Doctors at Cary Ortho arrogance and non sympathy was amazing. No compassion or caring. My wife then went to Raleigh Orthopedics and was immediately scheduled for a knee revision. The Dr said it was bad and was amazed that she had dealt with the pain and stability issues for nearly 4 years. She is getting her new knee today. It has been a very frustrating time for us and a painful time for my wife.
Staff was very friendly, he has good sense of humor.

All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
