List of Carolina Eye Associates's Reviews
The seem to have everything for all vision issues.
I had my eye exam this week and it will be my last. The practice had come highly recommended to me by friends that had cataract surgery here. Unfortunately, my exam with Dr. Brandon Phillips was the worst opthalmology appointment I have ever had. I am in my 70's and have worn glasses since I was eight. I have had many visits for my eyes over the years. This "doctor" told me that the glasses I was wearing were just readers and that I didn't even need glasses. The technician had already done all the preparatory exam work and then put the dilation drops in my eyes. I have ALWAYS had to wait 20 minutes or so after that for the doctor's exam. He insisted on doing it right away. I have a nevus on each eye that my last doctor kept a close eye on. This doctor said he didn't see anything. Also said no diabetic retinopathy, which is good but I have no faith he even looked for it. He had brought another technician in to remeasure my glasses and she issued a letter to my doctor saying my vision was 20/20 without glasses, which it is not. His portion of the exam was less than 5 minutes. He said I had just gotten used to wearing glasses. This was a total sham, entirely unprofessional, and very embarrassing to Carolina Eye. I was in shock as I left. I will not only have my insurance all messed up, but it will be costly as I don't know if my insurance will cover another visit so soon. However, that is what I will need to do. I have absolutely no faith in this doctor or this exam. I only hope that the remainder of the doctors at Carolina Eye are a step above. Or, for that matter, many steps above.
Great services from start till end. Doctor Hales was very attentive to my issue with the eye prescription and did what was necessary to correct it. He found I had high pressure in my left eye. He prescribed my eye drops and set up an appointment to return in one week to make sure the pressure on the eye had subsided.
I visited Carolina Eye Associates this week and found everyone there from the intake receptionist to the doctor, Dr. Brandon Phillips to be very professional. I will certainly continue to go there for eye issues and treatment.
A great resource for the Sandhills, NC and greater area. Dr. Miller is a thoughtful Dr. who explains things very well, answering questions thoroughly with excellent judgment. The surgical center too is the very best, using the latest technology, with excellent after-care.
Great team. Really take good care of me.
715 am appointment. In and out in one hour with three different tests and consultation with Doctor.
All of the staff here were supper friendly, and the appointment went smoothly. Dr. Miller easily figured out what was wrong with my eyes and was able to get me treatment for them right away. Best eye doctor experience I could've hoped for.
Excellent service with the patients. Organized and efficient with a friendly attitude. Thanks for a great experience.
Beware! Place is full of staff with no character, morals or integrity. They will cause you harm then cover it up. Even lying on medical documentation. Many people working there were involved in this incident and not an honest, honorable person among them. HOW DO YOU NOT TELL A PATIENT THEY HAD AN "ADVERSE REACTION TO ANESTHESIA", NOT DOCUMENT IT(IN FACT WROTE "NO COMPLICATIONS". USE THEM AT YOUR OWN RISK BECAUSE THEY WILL LIE & COVERUP ANY MISTAKES THEY MAKE.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
