Avenues has helped me turn a life time of addiction around. The staff really care and approach each person like a family member.I will be forever grateful to avenues and everyone ive met on this journey.
I came here for substance use recovery. I found the experience to be life-changing. If I had not come to Avenues of New England, I would be in a very different place in life. The staff at Avenues is extremely dedicated, loving, and respectful of boundaries. I especially love the facilitators of our groups, as well as my own therapist. Here, you have the opportunity to be treated for co-occurring diagnoses - mental health and substance use disorder - and you work with a therapist 1 on 1 to meet specific goals based on your needs. I learned how to connect with other women in recovery, the ins and outs of AA, and the importance of personal boundaries. The staff give their all, clients are held accountable, and recovery becomes intention put into action. Avenues has taught me many valuable tools and skills. I am forever in gratitude.
I would highly recommend staying at Avenues. The staff are second to none and truly caring. I chose Avenues as well, being dual diagnosis (substance and mental health). It has completely changed my outlook and ability to cope with everyday life. I am leaving being a stronger person than I can remember and the changes haves resonated into my soul. I cannot thank them enough. Recovery is hard where ever you go, Avenues makes it a success,
The difference between Avenues and any other drug and alcohol rehab center is the STAFF. The staff here cares and wants to see you flourish, everyone at Avenues is patient and a lot of people who work here know how to help the right way because they have been where were we are before. Thank you to the amazing people here who have helped me move forward.
Avenues took me, a broken man, and helped me navigate my past. The groups provided by the program helped me awaken a side of myself that I haven't known for a long time. The support of the staff, techs, and most important of all, the community of other clients, helped me with getting more open, more self aware, and helped me with coping with anxiety that I had struggled my whole adult life with. I had problems with letting go and accepting change as a positive thing in life. As I move on from the program, I can't help but feel sad that my time here is over, but stated before, change happens, and you can either embrace and face it, or avoid like I had done my whole life. Thank you to everyone who has helped me get to where I am today and I look forward to the next phase life brings about with the help of my higher power.
Avenues was a huge part of my journey to recovery. The staff is very genuine and caring and very knowledgeable. The community there was second to none and everybody made me feel comfortable and welcome. highly suggest Avenues Recovery New England as a starting point to your path to recovery!
My time at Avenues was a very good experience. This was my first time every going to treatment. I was very hesitant and nervous. The Avenues staff took their time to make me feel comfortable and make sure I had what I needed. The staff really took their time and had a lot of compassion. I learned to cope with life in a way that I never thought possible. I was given the tools and skills needed and was shown how to practically apply them in every day life.
Ryan Madsen5/11/21Coming to avenues after detox as a client I was completely broken and didn’t know where I was headed in life and couldn’t see what was in the future for myself. I knew I had no other option to be sober and I needed help with my Mental health and Addictions. I was 23 and had been drinking and using drugs since the age of 13. I knew I was completely powerless. When I walked into the clinical building on my first day I had no idea what to expect. I was scared, alone, fearful, insecure and lacked the traits of what it means to be a man. I thought I knew everything but when in reality I had no answers to save myself. Avenues right away helped me feel like I amounted to something more. I knew this was going to be the best rehab for me. I was informed there was personalized care, Case Management, Depression Help, Family Involvement, Focused Treatment, Medical Care, Group Therapy, and a Strong AA/NA Network. I was told there was a 90 day rehab program, but I knew I wanted to be in treatment for six months. Early on as a client I was taught how to look within myself and pinpoint where my major emotional pain stemmed from. Every day I learned from Drug Counseling, Personal Clinicians, and Drug abuse treatment groups. I had an excellent therapist who truly listened to me and guided me down a road in life that I never knew I could create for myself. Each therapy session I was able to talk, listen, and discover the real person I was. My therapist/personal clinician had me know Avenues is the best rehab in the USA. I was also able to learn a lot about Life skill training from my therapist. The entire staff taught me how to live life free of insecurity and fear. The staff motivated me and motivated my peers which made the experience much more fantastic. Throughout the program I had my ups and downs, but because of how excellent avenues goes about teaching , I was able to cope and become a stronger and better individual. They taught me about faith based programs and how to keep personalized routines for the long term. I was able to ask questions, learn, and take note of ways to accept my own actions and mistakes in my life, and turn those around and work the 12 steps of AA. I personally chose to do the 12 steps, avenues was excellent with recovery programs because they taught me about all various recovery practices. I developed to be the man I am today because of the leadership, accountability, love, and support avenues offers. I graduated the program in 5 and a half months. I knew I wanted to come back to avenues but on the other side.I returned to avenues as an employee. I was blessed and proud to be working for the best rehab in America. I became a Behavioral Help Technician. It was a surreal experience to walk into the clinical building on the other side. Right away I was able to talk with clients and inform them about how the program is a affordable program, how the inpatient program is designed to have one succeed. What made the difference in being a BHT was all the knowledge I obtained as a client. Working for avenues I am able to help others achieve a healthy life of sobriety. Every client is different and every employee is different as well. The same people who once guided me down a proper path are now friends and resources to help me work my job to the best of my ability. The experience being a BHT is a motivating one. I get to learn more about how to connect with people and be a role model in the recovery community. I get to look back on my experience as a client and pick out major events that occurred to help relate with clients that are currently attending the avenues program. I believe that being once a client to now being a BHT I can help anyone who walks through the avenues doors to the best of my ability. It all comes down to willingness and a desire to look within ones self. I highly recommend Avenues Recovery for anyone who needs help. There are motivators, leaders, and friends here in this program. The last words I can tell to anyone who is reading this is that…. YOU ARE NOT ALONE.
Avenues recovery really changed my life for the better. The combination of caring staff, motivated peers, family involvement, and strong AA network was what I needed to get started on my recovery journey. The personalized care I received at inpatient drug rehabilitation was exactly what I needed to begin to heal myself. I will forever be grateful for the compassion and grace I was shown by Avenues, it was where I started my life over again.
Introduced my to recovery and AA - absolutely saved my life and helped me course correct it. Met lots of great men and forged incredibly close bonds. Came in with legal issues and addiction issues in which I have a much greater capabilities and skill sets to handle them both. Through avenues I had an excellent therapist and all my medications were managed. If you or someone you know needs care that goes beyond the traditional 28-30 day php model, than I would recommend avenues recovery.
