List of Matthew Mcdonnell's Reviews
Horrible Dr. Told me to have a lumbar fusion. Listened to him. Caused me to have osteomyelitis. Never followed up with me. Ended up going to a neurosurgeon. He said the fusion wasn’t even going to help things and that I needed a laminectomy( a less severe surgery). I would never go back to that practice again!
I had a discectomy with Dr McDonnell about six year ago. At the time, my lower back was in such bad pain that often I couldn't even get out of bed in the mornings. After the surgery, the recovery time was about two weeks before I could move on my own - but my lower back improved tremendously. Dr McDonnell is a professional, and is highly recommended.
He convinced my mother to get extensive back surgery that completely disabled her and ruined her life. But I'm sure he got a nice paycheck for it. Don't forget that these doctors are a business, out to make money, and they do not have your welfare in mind. No matter how caring or sympathetic they may seem.
Dr Mcdonell is a very smart guy but doesn’t know how to speak to patients properly ! He looked at my X-rays of the spine and said “ you gotta bad spine “ !! Is that how you present your findings to the patient !!!!! I was very very upset with that !!!
El Dr. Mcdonnell es tremendo doctor me operó de mi columna y todo me fue de maravilla se lo recomiendo a todos con los ojos cerrado. El doctor me dio buena atención y se preocupa por su paciente. Gracias dr. Mcdonell😘
Doctor McDonnell was a life saver. I left work Saturday, Memorial day weekend bent over 90 degrees and couldn't walk. Ambulance came Sunday to pick me up and took me to the hospital. My old ortho referred me to McDonnell and told me he would be able to help. I got in pretty quick and discovered I needed to have surgery because the herniated disc was crushing my nerve and had severe leg pain and my right leg was unusable. I had surgery June 27th and left the hospital ON MY OWN TWO LEGS THE SAME DAY!! Recovery was a breeze and I was back at work July 27th!! He even took the time on the weekend and called me at 9pm to help me with an insurance and medication problem. I can walk again, I can laugh again, I can have FUN AGAIN. McDonnell truly saved my quality of life and I owe him everything. THANK YOU!!
I made an appointment for my daughter, who has severe scoliosis and was re-scheduled twice. I had to cancel all-together as her condition needs immediate attention.
He was very patient and kind regarding my concerns. He explained everything multiple times to help me relax and understand my potential surgery
Dr Matthew. He did major back Surgery 3 months ago. I am doing good. Had so much pain before. I highly recommend him . He listens to you does not rush you out. Doctor Matthew did a great job. Thank you so much. You will really like him
This dr had no idea that a woman can have low Calcium due to parturition and lactation. He ordered an unnecessary dexa scan and advanced endocrinologist consult on a healthy premenopausal woman. This dr needs continuing education courses.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
