Sunrise was the the only place I had frequent flyer miles, lol. At least it felt that way I been to every NJ location. But on my last stay I left on 3/17/2020 and went to sober living. I was still suffering but I pulled through Now 1 year and 11 months later I’m still clean and very happy with my life today. I battled and I’m finally now winning. We do recover

I've been several places and by far sunrise is the most comfortable and the staff is very helpful. Rory was my counselor and couldn't be more happy with the help I received.

I highly recommend Sunrise Detox in Toms River. The staff is very professional and helped changed my life. I worked very well with my counselor Rory and he helped guide me through my recovery.

Amazing place when really looking for help with addiction.... very pleasant staff, from directors, counselors, techs,and nurses...will absolutely recommend to anyone and everyone looking for sobriety...

Sunrise detox toms river has literally saved my life!!!! I called and they came to my rescue, they were so concerned for me they actually put a nurse next to me till I was stable. I truly thought I was gonna die from my addiction. They nursed me back to health. Nurses and all staff went above and beyond to make me comfortable. The food is amazing. This place is like a 5 star hotel. Please do yourself a favor if you are struggling and call this place. I'm truly grateful.

If I could give this facility 0 stars I would. The staff are unbelievably rude and disrespectful. The admissions people are as well. They screwed up my taper for detox and then threw me out when I asked to speak with admissions regarding my medication. They had said that my boyfriend and I were causing problems when the whole time we were in our rooms, only coming out for medication. While I was waiting to do my intake which took them 3 hours just to see me I had to pee very very badly, One of the techs that works there had said “I don’t know what to tell you, go pee in a bush” as a female I find that disgusting that I had to do such a thing because they refused to let me pee in their bathroom. This detox is by far outstandingly rude and disgusting. I would never recommend sunrise to anyone that is trying to seek help.

The counselors do not return phone calls, even if you are an authorized contact.We have been trying to return their calls for 4 days from Alana .The receptionist hangs up on us when we ask for somebbody in charge. We do not know if he is ok or not. This is a horrible place. Please if you love anybody do not use this place. This place should be shut down!

STAY AWAY!!!! So pleasant during initial telephone conversations. My husband went in on Monday for alcohol detox. 24 hours later I received a call from Sunrise that they dropped him off at Brick Hospital because his labs were not good. They left him at the ER door and did not ensure his safe admission. As the driver left, s/he watched my delirious husband walk right out of the hospital. Brick PD scoured the area and found him 2 hours later covered in urine and in DTs. He could have been seriously harmed. Now when I call them, cold and impersonal. It’s been a week and they will not release his personal belongings to me.They made sure to bill our health insurance $8,000 on day 1 - for what???? I will be pursuing further action. P.S. My husband said the inside is dirty. He will not be going back.

great place but just upped a 5 day stay from $1500 to $4200. cash on pocket both

This place saved my life. I cannot say enough and express enough gratitude that I have for the staff. I wish I could name everyone individual. Nurse Jenn saved my life. Sicker than I have ever been, she went above and beyond and I felt like my mother was taking care of me. They truly care. If I could give 10 stars for her keeping me there and getting me through at the worst part I would. Thank you a million times over.
