To be honest this is the most dirtiest and confusing hospital ever. My family had to come here last minute because my sisters had a big open wound in her knee.most nurse's not even in uniform they ,don't even know what patient they going to it's just a mess. They have a nice cafeteria with good snacks and such but that's not the point, the doctor put the staples in my sisters leg wrong and they didn't even know what they were doing so I do not recommend this place for help, your better off dying at home.
I arrived 01/06/26 to ER. The doctors nurses and whole staff was very caring. It was my first time in this hospital I had an emergency surgery. one of the doctors was Dr Brown a very pro and caring Dr. in the recovery room the nurse Marie Raymond treated me with compassion. In mother and baby unit all nurses were so nice ms grace ice, ms Williams , all of them were super nice everyone treated with respect and care. They save my life. Thank you
This place is horrible all can be fact checked. My bro. Has been shuffled from here to adjacent home. They just diagnosed cancer after 17 months. Now i an having an issue with getting my fam member to appointments. It was said to me certain staff wont do it. I have been begging for a transfer. This is inhumane an unacceptable. If your not gonna help you have the wrong job. Shame on all the non workers. God bless those who have given me important info. Plz dont take ur loved ones here.
I wasn't gonna do this but at this point if your sick you better off dying at home they will have you sit and wait for hrs literally almost 24hrs to get a bed let alone a room if you are being admitted the doctors nurses very professional, caring, but by far the worst hospital ever I'm here at the hospital as well speak i came in 4 this morning they told me at 10 am I will be admitted I needed to wait for a bed as well as room now that was 10am it is now 624pm and I've been in the same spot you can't make this up very unorganized never again
The staff was great, nurse Campbell made my stay very comfortable, attending to myself and everyone needs, concerning to all the other patients, taking time to make sure everyone was good, making rounds very often asking everyone do they need anything, answer all questions throughly, outstanding patient care
I've been coming to Brookdale my entire life and honestly I never had a good experience in that ER until today. Meeting Nurse Stephanie French felt like hitting the lotto. She is without a doubt the most caring and dedicated nurse I've ever seen. The ambulance wouldn't let us go to a better hospital but the moment she walked in my mother felt safe and comfortable she even explained things better than the doctor. You could tell she truly cared, the way she listened and explained things to us. she had the person next to us to and he said he never had a nurse like her before in that place. If only that hospital hired more Stephanies, maybe they wouldn't be stuck with a one star rating. She deserves way more than 5 stars and I pray I get her next time. Ms. French if you read this THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart and your tattoos are beautiful.
My aunt is currently hospitalized at Brookdale Hospital Medical Center. I recently went to visit her and had an unexpected pleasant experience. I requested assistance for my aunt and her issue was immediately addressed. Outside of that the two doctors that came in provided detailed information and offered to assist in anyway that the hospital could in facilitating her transition home. In particular Dr. Aung Khan Phyoe actively listened to my family's concerns, validated and normalized our concerns and provided encouragement. His bedside manner is one of which I have never come across anytime I have been to this facility. In the pass I have had undesirable experiences here whether it was with myself or care for my child. I truly appreciated the time and respect from Dr. Phyoe. His professionalism has given me a different perspective about Brookdale.
TERRIBLE service. Me and my boyfriend had to wait 20 minutes to get any help despite him being in excruciating pain and complaining about it to the doctors. They even attend another patient as my boyfriend is literally crying.. 7 doctors around me and not one would help him out. They spent the time laughing and playing around with another patient whom they must have known for a while due to the way she was jokingly speaking with them. THEN AFTER THEY'VE TOOK HIS VITALS..for the third time BTW....THEY SENT HIM TO SIT BACK DOWN, STILL IN PAIN! THIS IS THE WORLDS WORST HOSPITAL EVER! they are unprofessional, obnoxious, and obviously don't take there job seriously enough!! Treating patients with mild injuries while paying no attention to some who is actually hurting!! imma do what i can to get this hospital close THE HELL DOWN!
nyc is rough but the staff here is resilient i experienced excellent and courteous help from the carribbean , nepalese Ukranian and Russian staff they rescued me when i needed rescue. so grateful for all the nurses they reinvigorated me. brooklyn is brooklyn but the doctors and nurses are dutiful and professional people doing great work in a much needed space
I wish I could give zero stars. Worst hospital experience of my life! I sat on a hard chair in their ER for 13 hours before being admitted. Once admitted, my pain was not well managed and the nurses were extremely rude to me. they did not give me my medications that I was prescribed and put me on a dirty bloody sheet with no blanket. They also sent me home with 2 other patients' medical records (HIPAA violation). STAY AWAY!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
