Solon Pointe's Online Review Report Card

Solon point was the worst place you could ever go to my mother went there she fail there when I got there her head was busted open they didn’t even think about calling us until after the fact where they try to fix it or make sure I was coming when I got there my mom had blood all in her hair it was clumped up with dry blood in her hair and everything so worst place to send your loved ones don’t send your family here even you can be the best person in the world and come here and watch your family every day it is still time that you can’t be there and when I found out about it I got my mother out of there good luck with this place The staff is horrible

Solon Pointe has an amazing team. The facility is managed by loving and compassionate healthcare professionals. It smells great. Looks great. Dignity is maintained. The facility is Covid free. Everyone that works for Solon Pointe is extremely dedicated to provide awesome care each day.

Whatever you do find another facility for your loved one! Very unprofessional staff from the person answering the telephone to the person managing the facility. Very slow to respond to patients needs. Your loved one will die here. Especially since you can not visit because of COVID-19. The staff does not care!!!!!! Just HORRIBLE.

Solon point is a great facility for health care . They provide a great service to all residents.

This Facility use to be Wonderful and Kept up when Don was the Director. Don cared for the residence, it showed and he was very personable. Don hosted holiday events, children events and also had live bands for entertainment. Now they have nothing to look forward to. There has not been any events with the new director Rich. Don would go around to residence rooms just to check and make sure they were good. Don was thorough in comunicating the specifics regarding my mother. The building was cleaner and my mothers room was well kept. I really miss Don there and so do staff and residence. Now this new director Rich is very unprofessional and rude. Everything has gone down hill for my family since his arrival, including my mom's health. His energy is not a good fit for Solon Pointe, he called the police and banned my daughter from seeing her grandmother because she expressed concern ABOUT how unsanitary the facility and her room is, the misinformation regarding my moms medication, his rude and nasty arrogant disposition, the stolen phone, my mom's rapid weight loss(food disgusting), and the unreported falls. Tells alot about a persons character to band someone from there loved ones. You have to have a kind heart, you have to love the elderly, you have to have compassion, you have to have understanding that some people really love there family and will make sure they are not getting mistreated in anyway. You can't be there for a paycheck. Karma is real so people need to be careful on what you put out....because you get it back...As long as I AM on earth I am going to make sure my Mother is good PERIOD!!!!!!!

Robin, the skilled nursing manager, is super committed To patient care. They don’t come any better. It is comforting to know that Solon has a four-star building that accepts waiver.

Do not send your loved ones here if you care about their well being.I cannot sing enough praise about the physical therapists, nurses, and nurse practitioner in the Green Unit of Solon Pointe, however all other aspects of this facility are an abomination.To begin, the entire nursing home is filthy and smells heavily of human excrement. The custodial staff failed to clean the bedroom and bathrooms and would rarely change bedding even when asked repeatedly.Combined my grandparents spent 2 months here, my family deeply regrets not discharging them earlier. My grandfather fell from his bed and was left on the floor for over 2 hours before getting any attention. He also contracted pneumonia twice during his stay because none of his respiratory equipment was properly cleaned and his dietary needs were not met so he kept aspirating food. Both grandparents were placed on a only mechanical soft diet by their physician. Even after meeting with administration several times, Solon Pointe was unwilling to accommodate their dietary needs, providing instead items like whole chicken breast, pizza, bagels etc. On multiple days they went without even a single proper meal because Solon Pointe could not provide food they could chew and swallow.The administration is a joke. They talk a big game, but they do not follow up on any requests they agree to complete. This ranged from providing bedrails, sanitation, dietary needs, and much more. Upon discharge administration failed to provide us with a full list of medication and proper medication supply until we could see our primary care physician leaving my diabetic grandmother 7 days without any medication.Additionally, the facility did not fully comply with hippa regulations. I have been privy to patient information left on medical devices that circulate throughout the facility.

I was told by someone in the community that this was the top rated nursing facility in Solon. Boy was she right! They give tremendous care and really care about their residents as people. They keep family in the loop for anything that may come!
