Drove four hours for my 1:00pm appointment. Arrived a half hour early for my appointment as instructed. After over an hour and a half for the total process never saw the doctor. I talked to a number of other patients waiting to see the doctor all had 1:00 appointments. I could be wrong but it appears to be over scheduling and the welfare of the patient is secondary. A 1:00 appointment is obvious it is 1:00 not some arbitrarily time later. I plan to reach out to the hospital's administrators to hear some serious explanation pertaining to my experience. Good luck...right?

My wife has been dealing with leukemia for some time, we've been to Dartmouth, Yale as well as Sarasota memorial, slone Kettering and more. Upmc has proven to be the most incompetent medical organization we have ever been to! Constantly my wife has follow up blood work, we see the results on my chart, but no one calls to explain them, we find ourselves Googling the results in an effort to see how she is doing. We have complained before, gotten calls, promises to make it better. My wife had blood work done on December 30th 2022 it is now January 6th 2023 and we have not received a word. Third world medical care.

The staff here is amazing. The biggest issue is how long we sit before our 5 hour treatment starts. Our appointment starts at 7:15 and it 9:15 now. And we still are in the waiting room. My mother is very sick with cancer the last thing she wants to do is sit for hours and hours before her treatment starts. We drive 2 hours to get here. And they know she has a Long treatment jut still they don't care. She get here last treatment in 3 weeks. And I will never come back here again. If she needs anymore treatments I will find else were for her to get them. And it's not just her every patient sits this long and its just to see the doctor before she gets her treatment but they aren't in yet imagine that. UPDATE we have been here almost 5 hours and chemo still hasn't started.
